  1. Some Nissans dont have ground in the factory harness. If it doesnt it will pull ground from the RCA connection possible causing noise and eventually damaging the outputs on the radio!!!!! I know that all of the metra plugs for Nissan have a ground wire in them but you have to plug it in to the factory harness and see if the factory harness has it. I have seen this serveral times. The radio can also pull ground from the antenna connection. Nissan factory radios get ground when you screw the radio into the dash board.
  2. A lot of nissans dont have ground in the factory harness. They ground out when you screw the radio to the metal support. Make sure you ground them to metal.
  3. It was a software issue new dvd's solver the problem.
  4. Yes I did I unplugged the XM,Sirius and IPOD then I reset the D1 and traffic tuner. I let the radio turn on with nothing plugged into VDD worked fine. So I shut off the ignition plugged in the XM turned the IGN back on VDD comes on once I switch back to map then back to VDD and its gone only a background.
  5. I'm having a weird problem hopefully someone can help me with it. When I have the XM traffic data line plugged into my D1 I loose my Vehicle Dynamics Display (VDD). It did work at one time. I rechecked all connections and everthing is right. And I do have a subscription to XM traffic. I searched this entire forum and couldn't find anyone with a similar problem.
