Well, then I guess it should work. Make sure it's inserted all the way in (ie. you shouldn't be able to simply pull it out without pushing it back in) and turn on the ignition.

Doesn't the x930bt come with the 3.001 firmware? Mine did!
If your factory firmware is already 3.001, that's probably why it didn't do anything. Check your firmware version as described by Pioneer:
Check the version number of your current software by completingthe following steps:•Press the “HOME†key•Select the “Settings†tab•Select “System Settingsâ€â€¢Select “Service Informationâ€â€¢Press and hold the upper left corner of the “Service Information†screen for a few seconds•The "Platform Version" number and the "Application Version" number will be displayed --please look at the "Application Version" number, which is displayed on the second line -
I was about to say "Check your wiring", but I don't believe the unit is wise enough to determine if speakers are connected or not.
Did it use to work and, suddenly, it stopped working?

My brother-in-law has his camera powered by the brake lights. When he wants to turn on the camera, he has to turn on his dashboard light. A bit annoying during the day, but he can turn on his camera whenever he wants.

I have a 930. There is definitely a limit on the number of songs or the total size that the system loads into memory. I haven't checked, but I believe I can only see about 1200 songs. If the system does not load the songs into memory, then the songs are not available to be played at all. They will not be included in shuffle, and you can't browse to them. Because of the way it loads the contents of the card first, you will find that the more music you have on the card, the longer it takes before the music actually kicks on. On my 2 GB card it came on within a few seconds. When I switched to a 16 GB card with much more music, it took a few minutes.
I have 1650 songs on my USB key and I've never experienced any "File not available" issue. At least, not yet!
But anyway, I've found this thread while looking for a way for my x930bt to play random songs on the entire USB instead of just a folder. I thought of symbolic links, but that's a feature only available on NTFS. I think direct links (.lnk files) wouldn't be seen at all by the unit. Bummer.

@Moja338: I have the X930BT and upgraded to 3.001 to 4.010 here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/page-1
For detailed explanations on how to install it step by step, see http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/page-21?&do=findComment&comment=259388

Try to copy the files inside the folder on the root of the SD card, not the "AVICZ110" folder itself.
-
-
Have you tried running the tests option in TestMode? Perhaps it could indeed reveal something wrong with the board.
I can give you a copy of my original PRG0 folder which is 25mb. To make it smaller, I can also try to give you just the .exe files (Av.exe and Navi.exe)
-
Oh, that's what you meant. I thought you were saying that you weren't even able to go into TestMode.
You did put the file in the USER folder, right?
Well, some people have said that disconnecting the battery for a good 20 minutes somehow solved the problem. Perhaps you can try too.
You can also try this: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36854-undo-condis-hack-mode/

TestMode should override the regular boot process. If you have all the TestMode files/folders at the root of your card, it should take about 4 seconds before the TestMode screen shows up.
For example:
-
Ok after 2 days working without any issues the unit failed again with same problems of rebooting or start up error. I tried to install Condi Hack/Testmode v2.21 and after I inserted my SD card I seen the Hackmode screen and it went to reboot like its should with the install of hackmode but it didn't reboot. I get a screen at boot up that "There is no application program" and it won't me go any further. With the sd card in or out I now get this "There is no application program" at boot up. Now what?
Oh no. It's not "Hack/Testmode" as there is a big difference between HackMode and TestMode. HackMode should really be taken offline or have this HUGE warning about it as it screwed up many units. TestMode v1.14 is the only one that should be used.
Well, like I said earlier, I solved my problem by creating an empty PRG.FLG file in my USER folder.
1) Get rid of HackMode
2) Copy TestMode v1.14 files on your SD card
3) Make sure you have the latest TESTMODE.key file (there's a specific post with it)
4) Copy an empty PRG.FLG file on your SD card
5) Start the unit with the SD card
6) Use the File Manager to copy the PRG.FLG file in your USER folder
7) Remove the SD card from the unit and reboot
8 ) Cross your fingers

I have a X930BT and was also at version 3.001. I downloaded the upgrade (to 4.010) and installed it without any issue following the instructions. Where I encountered problems is when I installed HackMode v2.21 (wanted to remove "OK" GPS nag screen and 'copy/'paste' were no longer available until I found it was just a .key update) and got the "No available program" thing. All I did was to create a PRG.FLG in the USER folder and the problem was solved.
Some people solved their issue by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes which, I assume, completely resets the unit.

downloading is possible , but when unzip i get the question password
somebody can help me ?
As written on the first post, "PASSWORD: avic411"
-
Keep it simple. I bought a $15 camera on eBay for my X930BT and it's doing the job really well.
-
I warn against installing Condi's HackMode, it has temporarily bricked many units. Use TestMode (totally different critter). TestMode has many hardware diagnostics and booting into TestMode does not alter any internal files.
You're absolutely right, it's TestMode and not HackMode. HackMode did temporarily brick my unit and I had to work to put it back up (simply create a USER\PRG.FLG was enough, but I had to figure it out)
-
If you haven't done anything to the software, it's safe to consider an issue with the hardware.
HackModeTestMode has a feature to test the various components of the unit. Perhaps it could help you somehow. Using it is a piece of cake. -
The single byte after the date appears to be the current speed in Kilometres Per Hour. The correct Longitude, referred to as X and Latitude, referred to as W can be found by dividing by 921600. I didn't realise it was a constant factor till I saw your right and wrong answer which are 500km from me. The last 4 bytes may be something to do with the Eco reading or altitude.
Oooo! Very interesting. I remember trying to substract/add a constant but it didn't work. I never tried dividing it.
I might pull out that project once more after all as I was stuck with this coordinate conversion issue.

The best thing about this update is that it was free thanks to you all! I would have been really annoyed if I had paid for it. Just downgraded back to the old version. The direction and mapping of the new navigation is horrible. The navigation has yet to guide me to where I need to be, it's like crApple maps after the 6.x ios update! Maybe the same programmers? Here's all the stuff I found wrong so far...
.My update worked great. I haven't experienced anything you mentionned, including the pairing of my Android phone (X930BT with Galaxy S2X)
Ok, I did everything in the instructions for my X920BT and when it hits 99% i get incorrect SD card error. This happened twice then I switched to another sd card that I used for the previous update to to 3.0 and I got the same error again at 99%. I'm at a loss for what to do. Now my radio is stuck in the update mode.
Please help
Kevin
Are you sure your download was successful? Even if you copy the files on 20 different SD cards, they will all fail if the download itself wasn't good.
-
When that happened to me, all I did was to create a file PRG.FLG in the USER folder. Problem solved.
-
Should it show the parking brake as 'on'?
Yes
-
Being myself a software developer for Windows, I often wish I could redo the GUI for my x930bt. I'd change many things. But even if I could, I'd need to find out how to access the radio frequencies, the GPS component, the USB port, the illumination settings, etc. Too many hardware to control.

Make sure the parking brake is pulled. For security reasons, the keypad will be disabled if it isn't.
Backup Camera While Driving 940BT
in General
Posted
it's perfectly normal. Since your camera is getting its power from the reverse lights, you won't get any picture while driving forward since these lights are off. To get an image while driving forward, you need to get the power from another source (ie. brake lights while dashboard lights are on)
