pickup1

i just got this and can get the video and sound to show thru the a/v input. when i use the built in dvd player,the dvd plays but no picture.and it doent say warning,no video for driver blah,blah,blah. just a blank screen.i do get audio though. any help will be appreciated.does this need repair?
