Its a burnt CD with multiple songs. And the CD text checked, lets me enter a single cd title and artist. if i check that and leave it black (in nero 7) will it write the names of the songs added on the CD?

any idea how to do that? it worked before with my cds, and now all of a sudden it doesnt.

i am having a small problem When i insert a burnt CD it usually starts recording with the name of the tracks and the cd name. For some reason now, it has no names on it at all. No track names, just "-" on it. Any ideas?

I am just writing to see if you know if the Z1 comes with a mounting bracket or i woul dhave to buy one myself. Thanks for your time.

Hello everyone. Back here again with some much needed help questions. My escalade was stolen, someone from chicago thought it would be fun to give me a fake check for my car and strip it completely. Anyway, i need to install a Z1 back into my escalade. I am also installing te pioneer 6 disk changer (xdv-p6). So if you know that i will need a small part, please help and just list what i need. The reason is, i have to order it and have it here in advance becuase no one around here stocks anything. thanks for all of your help in advance.

what kind of trunk does the jag have? you might want to run the antennea all the way back there and stick it on the trunk. Its a very small antenea and the cable they give you is long enough. If you have a spoiler you can hide it around that, or somewhere close to the hinges or next to the window. Just a thought

ok wow that blew out of proportion. I do have the Z1, and i do have a hide away unit. Becuase i also installed the 6 disk pioneer in dash dvd/cd changer. And i also have the XM radio tuner/hideaway unit. So yes i have the Z1 and yes i have a hide away unit. So can anyone show me where on the back of my Z1 the bluetooth goes?

its plugs into the head unit though? and i dont have anywhere for it to plug into!

ok now i have another problem. since i turned that box down, and the pioneer volume only goes to 40- its not loud enough. ANd i cant even hear the Voice talking for the Navigation. I think if i turn that up there will be alot of static or noise again!

where does the blue tooth module go? i dont have any available places to put this in the back of my headunit. would it go in the hideaway? Thanks in advance. :D

If you are using a Metra Data Bus Interface (VT-GMOS-04), you may want to check the output level in the box. Mine seems to reset whenever I disconnect the battery and I have to re-adjust the level. That worked for me.

Has anyone recevied theirs? Are they hard to hook up? do you know where (besides ebay) to get one soon? Also, tell me some of the great things about it if there are any. Thanks so much. I wanted to start a seperate topic. Cause that other one was too cluttered.

elgruen, you were exactly right!! I took that out, and adjusted the two settings. put it back in and no engine noise!! I did that all before i read your post. Took forever. But now i have the AVIC Z1 installed with the in dash 6 disk DVD changer and it looks great!! Thanks for your help guys. Now i just need help with that damn steering wheel controls programmer. Any ideas?

I few days ago i was having my 6 disk in dach dvd changer installed. During this the battery must have died. I tried to start the vehicle and got the infamos GM clicking sound. (03 Escalade) Well then the auto start i had installed kicked in and tried starting the car, over and over and over. Well finally it dies completely and a new battery was installed. Now with the key in any postion loud buzzing noise is coming from the speakers. I would compare the sound to when you crank the volume up and your cd player is in between songs on the disk. Like its ready to blow any minute. Just a lound hum

I just put that size pictures on a disk and copy them to the hard drive? any place in particular? and what are the exact sizes?

My installer installed the Z1 in my truck. And instead of hooking up all the steering wheel controls and the power and ground he ran one wire to a IR sensor on my dash. I dont know what wire that is, but i know the steering wheel controls do not work. Also he told me that i now need a factory remote to program the controls. Please give me any insite in what you think he did. Thanks much.

i called pioneer and they said that is the remote that works for the Z1 and that it is on backorder.

did you get the cd-r5? let me know. i am thinking about getting one.

so i got that PAC part, just hook it up and my steering wheel controls work?
