Ummm sorry tial your talking jibberish to me. lol This is the reason I want to have someone that knows what they are doin fix my unit for me. I bought a 16gb SD card yesturday and downloaded firmware upgrade and transfered files to sd card. Then inserted sd card into my avic and turned the ignition on and it just booted up like normal. Then my unit started playing audio files form the sd card but they were nothing but short tones, almost sounded like dial up internet connecting if that makes sense.

How do I update my softeware to 3.0 and download what tial is talking about? I went to where tial sent me and it says that upgrade will only work on 3.0 firmwarre. My unit is running 2.0001 IIRC. I just bought a 16gb SD card. Id like to try and fix my unit today. Thanks a bunch in advance guys!!!

I know that but Im a dumb a$$ when it comes to computers. I can get online and download some stuff but have never transfered something to an sd.

Really nobody has any info on a repair service for this? Does anyone have a back up file I could get from them with 2.006 software?

I have a f700bt unit in my vehicle but the guy I bought it form tried to mod it and I have no text on my menus and what not. I have a post that has pics of my problem. I am looking for someone that I can send my unit to and have them fix it and upload the latest software on my unit. If you know someone from this forum please let me know. Yes I bought it used. what do you mean by, " What did it say when biking" I assume thats supposed to be a message that pops up on unit? If so the boxes pop up on my unit but there is no text in those either. Ill start reading posts in this section and go from there. Is there anyone on this site that could do this for me? Like if I send them my unit could they install the newest software for a fee?

Ok where do I go about that? Or at least where do I start researching to figure that stuff out? Sorry I am this is my first unit like this and Im not all that good with computers... I appreciate your help!!

What I mean is that the boxes are there where the units screen SHOULD say "settings", "system settings"," service info" ect. ect, but my unit has no words in those spots?? Why is this? PLEASE HELP!

I just installed a f700bt and it works good for the most part. Heres the problem, when I press the menu button on the unit the 3 icons pop up but that is it, I have no text for where the menus should be in the lower left and right corners. I can push the map icon and so on and do everything the way it should but there is just no text for any of the menus for stuff?? Is there something I am supposed to turn on or what? It has 2.00600 software, I did manage to find my way threw blank options to find out what software the unit is running. lol I appreciate all help very much!!! I can post u
