Hi all I was looking around but didn't find anything that I was wondering. I just recently switched to the Tmobile Note 4 from the VZW Note 3 with the Appradio 2. Anywho just wondering if anyone who has the Tmo Note 4 running a custom rom or kernel would share what they are using and if it's working out for you. I'm on FireKat rom 4.4.4 and AEL kernel v7.2 it works for the most part just having a charging issue but overall it works but I think I can do better. So if anyone has a better recommended set up please share if you would.

I tested a few roms on the Galaxy Nexus with the ARLiberator app and they all pass video just fine including CM10.I should be on stock kernel. Unless CM9 installs it's own kernel. I don't recall official CM9 doing this, but I do know a lot of unofficial Cyanogenmod roms people post like to use different kernels. Well at least I know where to point the blame and start investigating at.
Well, I'm gonna purchase the ARLiberator app which should make up for the whole blank video issue. Finally, Appradio the way it should be.
Thanks for your input Yzrider

There is a newer version of Waze I found that will bring back the touchscreen controls. It seems to have a few bugs such as reports from other drivers but like I said it brings back touch controls. Here it is.https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mva5i3dj0xvm2k/com.waze.1019569.apk

I'm still on ICS for now and I can say the update is pretty darn good I would say they are about 90-95% there. I may not flash just yet to Jelly Bean I may even wait for the official release if there are indeed any little bugs still out there. But overall I'm pretty happy that Pioneer has stepped it up.Well its not perfect by any means. I tried it on the way home from work and the app calibrated again. When I got home I restarted the truck and it calibrated yet again. I didn't see the startup sequence tho. Either its normal or another "glitch"
One nice feature they added is you can sort the icons now.

Finally I can flash to Jelly Bean again which build did you use?I tried it this morning. Everything worked fine on 4.1.1. Best as pioneers app can do anyways. Tried music, maps, calendar, contacts, all worked.
I got a pop up about a deck update but when I clicked more info it went to a dead Web Page

Well all in all it looks like only 2 weeks till we get an update so I am pretty excited about that. I would have been happy for them to just listen and reply to us but they actually gave me a status so yea pretty good news.

Well I am using the customer service one, but got no response. It wasn't till I threatened them that they actually answered and were quite nice after that. lolWhat email are you using to talk to them? I wasn't able to get any replies from the ones I tried....
Great news your getting updates out of them.

Ok guys I got another email update from Pioneer and here's what they said, it looks very promising.
Our engineers are hoping to have an update for our application by the end of the month.
They have also provided an updated SDK to the different application developers. They will need to update their apps to support the new SDK. The updates will be pushed through Google Play, like any other application update. Sorry, we do not have a way to know when they will release their updates.
If I hear any additional updates, I will get them to you.

Nice! sick of staring at that dam Iphone threads at the top its super annoying.

Here is an email I just recieved from Pioneer. I will be in touch and let you guys know what happens.... Our engineers are looking into the 4.1 software and working on a solution.
They do have a couple questions regarding your specific phone.
In one of your previous E-mails, you mentioned you have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Is this still correct?
Who is your service provider?
The 4.1 operating system, did your provider push this update directly to you or did you root the phone and install it yourself?
Thanks for taking the time to provide the requesting information. Once I receive the information I will forward it to our engineers. In return, I will forward any update I receive from them.

Got a voicemail from Pioneer today in response to an email I sent them about the Jelly Bean update. The guy just said to call him back which I don't have time today but he did actually mention a Jelly Bean update. I almost passed out it looks like they are actually working on it so yay!
-
How sure are you about this? No one has heard a word from Pioneer and things were not looking good at all.I just spoke with someone at pioneer who has confirmed they have been working on this and will hope to have a release in the next couple weeks.
-
Well one good thing is that Pioneer is showing some effort here now. I have to admit I didn't expect any movement out of them so I guess this is a little bit of hope.
-
Looks like there is already a post for this sorry to double it up.

Looks like we have a small firmware update for the Appradio 2 if anyone running Jelly Bean can tell if this makes any difference please let us know.

Congrats on the N7 yea kinda sucks on the MHL and Pioneer really needs a JB update asap! No, reason to lock my phone in portrait anymore after FINALLY receiving my Nexus 7
edit: Kind of disappointed now though, after realizing the Nexus 7 doesn't support MHL...I wanted to check out the Jelly Bean bugs you mentioned.
-
I would say one of the best ways still is to rate and comment on the Pioneer apps in the market. This is visible to everyone especially Pioneer. If anyone can think of any other way please post.
-
Oh yea it sounds like that could be the issue I don't have anything locked or screen orientation changed and it works flawlessly.Galaxy Nexus, it might have still worked but as I said it still came up with that message about not being the right keyboard...I'll try it again, I read alot of ebooks and usually have my phone locked in portrait. I'm not sure if that is how it was when I tested it. The AppRadio still forces the phone into landscape but that may have been the problem.

What phone are you using? I'm on a Galaxy Nexus and have had zero issues with it.I tried using this when I finally got my MHL cable on Friday and couldn't get it to work. I enabled it, set up Swype as my portrait keyboard and CarKeyboard as my landscape one. But when I opened AppRadio I still got the same message about "Enabling the default input method", and it won't go to the "Insert MHL Cable" screen after getting a bluetooth connection, it stayed on "Waiting for bluetooth" (picture).

Well add me to this list as mine started about 2 months ago, I take it that no one has a solution for this? I can't seem to find a replacement screen or anything. This is just sickening.
