  1. Hi all I was looking around but didn't find anything that I was wondering. I just recently switched to the Tmobile Note 4 from the VZW Note 3 with the Appradio 2. Anywho just wondering if anyone who has the Tmo Note 4 running a custom rom or kernel would share what they are using and if it's working out for you. I'm on FireKat rom 4.4.4 and AEL kernel v7.2 it works for the most part just having a charging issue but overall it works but I think I can do better. So if anyone has a better recommended set up please share if you would. :)

  2. I should be on stock kernel. Unless CM9 installs it's own kernel. I don't recall official CM9 doing this, but I do know a lot of unofficial Cyanogenmod roms people post like to use different kernels. Well at least I know where to point the blame and start investigating at.

Well, I'm gonna purchase the ARLiberator app which should make up for the whole blank video issue. Finally, Appradio the way it should be.

    Thanks for your input Yzrider

I tested a few roms on the Galaxy Nexus with the ARLiberator app and they all pass video just fine including CM10.
  3. Well its not perfect by any means. I tried it on the way home from work and the app calibrated again. When I got home I restarted the truck and it calibrated yet again. I didn't see the startup sequence tho. Either its normal or another "glitch"

One nice feature they added is you can sort the icons now.

I'm still on ICS for now and I can say the update is pretty darn good I would say they are about 90-95% there. I may not flash just yet to Jelly Bean I may even wait for the official release if there are indeed any little bugs still out there. But overall I'm pretty happy that Pioneer has stepped it up.
  4. Ok guys I got another email update from Pioneer and here's what they said, it looks very promising.

Our engineers are hoping to have an update for our application by the end of the month.

They have also provided an updated SDK to the different application developers. They will need to update their apps to support the new SDK. The updates will be pushed through Google Play, like any other application update. Sorry, we do not have a way to know when they will release their updates.

If I hear any additional updates, I will get them to you.

  5. Here is an email I just recieved from Pioneer. I will be in touch and let you guys know what happens.... Our engineers are looking into the 4.1 software and working on a solution.

They do have a couple questions regarding your specific phone.

In one of your previous E-mails, you mentioned you have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Is this still correct?

    Who is your service provider?

The 4.1 operating system, did your provider push this update directly to you or did you root the phone and install it yourself?

Thanks for taking the time to provide the requesting information. Once I receive the information I will forward it to our engineers. In return, I will forward any update I receive from them.

  6. No, reason to lock my phone in portrait anymore after FINALLY receiving my Nexus 7 :)

edit: Kind of disappointed now though, after realizing the Nexus 7 doesn't support MHL...I wanted to check out the Jelly Bean bugs you mentioned.

Congrats on the N7 yea kinda sucks on the MHL and Pioneer really needs a JB update asap!
  7. Galaxy Nexus, it might have still worked but as I said it still came up with that message about not being the right keyboard...I'll try it again, I read alot of ebooks and usually have my phone locked in portrait. I'm not sure if that is how it was when I tested it. The AppRadio still forces the phone into landscape but that may have been the problem.

Oh yea it sounds like that could be the issue I don't have anything locked or screen orientation changed and it works flawlessly.
  8. I tried using this when I finally got my MHL cable on Friday and couldn't get it to work. I enabled it, set up Swype as my portrait keyboard and CarKeyboard as my landscape one. But when I opened AppRadio I still got the same message about "Enabling the default input method", and it won't go to the "Insert MHL Cable" screen after getting a bluetooth connection, it stayed on "Waiting for bluetooth" (picture).

What phone are you using? I'm on a Galaxy Nexus and have had zero issues with it.
