  1. Got my question answered myself. Called the company and they told me I needed to splice the red power wire into the reverse sense line. That didnt sound right to me so I ignored them. There is a short lead attached to the camera itself. Then a long lead that is ran to the head unit. There is a TINY connector to join the two with TINY wires (24g?) going into the connnectors. I touched the power wire going into one of the connectors and it just fell out. It is a very flimsy connection. So, I cut the connectors off and spliced the wires directly together and all is good. If anyone else installs
  2. Surely you Jest! This expensive piece of equipment and you cant manually input info into the phone book? You can manually input into the address book. If this is true, what an incredible oversight. I am sure there are many bluetooth phones that wouldnt work because so many of the service providers cripple the bluetooth profiles.
  3. Ya, I know. I said that. My question is how do I manually enter my phonebook data. Surely there is a way other than Bluetooth.
  4. So, I have searched, read the manual and played with every menu on the D3. I can't figure out how to populate my phonebook. I have an iPhone so I cant Bluetooth the data in. When I go to the AV menu and select the BT phone option, I am presented with the screen that has the 6 speed dial positions. If I select "ph book" I get a screen where the only option is "esc". I can populate the speed dial list by selecting direct dial but dont see any option to name those entries. They show up as the number or unknown. My phone is connected and registered. What am I missing?
  5. I just installed a D3 today. Did the bypass. Everything seems to be working well except the backup camera. I installed a Boyo VTL300. Spliced power and ground into the same place I did for everything else. Tried moving power from battery to ACC. All I get is a black screen that says "objects may be reversed" or something like that. It does switch appropriately to the backup camera screen when I put the car in reverse. I plugged my camcorder into the "camera in" brown port on the D3 and did get video on the D3. Any thoughts? Bad camera? Thanks!
