There are no distros for Appradio that I know of. You'd have to download the kernel source, configure it for MIPS (or whatever CPU is in the appradio), and use the updater or JTAG tool to flash it.
The touch screen and many other components that are unique to the appradio would need custom drivers. Then you'd have to figure out how the tuner and preamp outputs are controlled, which might be very difficult without schematics.
Ir would probably be easier to build a custom CarPC from scratch that hack the appradio to run Linux with all the custom stuff on the headunit.
