  1. What did you use to open the files. I clicked on Start then Windows Explorer. Is there a copy of software you can post or email? I think I have a bad copy. My X910 is doing the same thing. Any help would be greatful.

  2. Does anyone know where to find a dash kit for a 2004 LSE. I had to make one out of a regular aftermarket lit and it looks cheap because you can see the lines where a stand aftermarket stereo would go. PLEASE HELP!

Sorry to tell you brother you are out of luck. I am in the same boat. I have an 05 RX330 and know one makes a kit for that either. Maybe we should spend a few years in school getting the skills and then get a business loan and put our selves more in debt and try to open a business making oddball dask kits. Sorry was in lala land for a second. I am just hoping the companies come out with kits for vehicles like these we own soon.

  3. Okay, so. This isn't what you probably are thinking it is: "Oh great, another n00b asking where his VSS wire is."

    Nope. Here's my situation.

I have my dash completely torn apart in the driveway right now, and I'm all in my ECM's butt. BOTH rostra.com AND my Chilton's manual say that my VSS wire is Green/Blue. However, I am unable to locate a Green/Blue wire anywhere on my ECM. Not with green being the predominant color, and not with blue.

I'm so damn frustrated right now. It's a '92 4Runner and the dash is a bitch to get off. I don't want all the effort and energy I just spent go to waste.

    Help?

This is from the Audiovox tech web site. Speed Sense GREEN/BLUE (AC) PASS KICK AT ECM

Check the site out it is www.techservices.audiovox.com They have some good info for all cars.

  4. Can anyone tell me where to find the reverse wire in the driver or pssenger seating area? I would prefer to not have to drill thru the fire wall and run the wire to the reverse lights.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have bose and are still using your On Star that harness you should be using is the METRA GMOS-LAN-02. In the instructions it tells you where to put the VSS the Reverse and the Parking brake. No need to go antwhere but right to the harness to get all your connections. They did this one right. Here a a copy of the instructions from the Metra web site

Connect the Green wire to the parking brake wire of the aftermarket navigation radio.

Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the VSS or speed sense wire of the aftermarket navigation radio.

Connect the Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire of the aftermarket navigation radio.

  5. You willl need to get the PAC SWI-PS to control the unit from the steering wheel. The Metra GMOS-04 to have the use of On-Star. A Metra 40-GM10 to hook up to the FM antenna. A Metra 99-2003 for the dash kit. The PAC GMRVD will allow you to still use the factory rear flip down screen with no problem. Have fun. You will be happy when it is all setup and tuned right.

  6. I did not read all the responses you got about your initial questions. If you did get the answers you were looking for here is a piece of advise for the future. Go to www.crutchfield.com and click on what fits my vehicle. After you put in your vehicle information you can select the head unit you own and it will tell you what kits and harnesses are need to make it work in your truck.
