Yes, I do have a Volvo XC90.

I have the Z1, and have all functionality except for the dim w/ headlights, and VSS wire. It still works OK without the VSS, but it should be more accurate with it.

So back to the original topic.... My instrument panel in the Volvo XC90 comes on at night, but the headlights are always on. The fuse box has nowhere to tap into the instrument panel fuse, because it is shared (I think). Does a photocell make sense here?

WOW 20 min response. Can't thank you enough... Which fuse box? There is one in the engine compartment, one in the driver side dash, and one in the back near the left tail light.
