I'm dying to have this for my 6100.
Users in our chat already created solution to close OK screen for x100 units, but not as elegant as @r007 solution. For x100 head units their patch just produces click event on OK button area.

You can restore your device yourself for free.
-
Yes, we have a lot of backup images for different devices. Also it's possible to write backup image from another model and then restore your original firmware if device is able to boot properly with different firmware.

1. What size ,type and format is the OEM internal card? I'm think at least 8gig, SDHC,Fat32 but I'd like to duplicate the original card as much as possible.
2. Can I take the Internal SD card backup: http://bit.ly/2k5Y6fz you posted and copy it to a new SD card? Extract and then copy the files I assume?
US 5200NEX backup image size is 8 GB. You can buy any decent SD card. Max theoretical SD card read speed used by device is about 25 megabytes per second. No need to format it to fat32 because restoring backup image restores also partitions and filesystems. We have exactly your (5200NEX) backup image.

Maybe getting adb is just a matter of finding the right USB - Ethernet dongle:
ADB is already available both for USB and WiFi/Ethernet.

I am sorry in advance. But I need to buy a (UART) cable. Then somehow send the nor files I saved back onto the unit?
You can buy 3.3 volt compatible USB-UART adapter ($2-$3 for Chinese clones from Aliexpress). Just connect three wires (GND, TX, RX) from adapter to your head unit and you will get access to bootloader console where you can change BSP settings to restore boot process.

In other words I am screwed. Lol
In other words you can restore your device in three minutes (including unit boot time).

Ive been having problem with loading igo. Backed up nor and internal sd. Loaded Jenkins script to disable warp and take password off internal sd card. Restart. Pioneer logo is there for about 1 second. Black screen. Took internal sdcard out and flashed original copied off unit. Same thing. Is it possible to put original nor back on?
You can restore BSP area using serial (UART) connection via yellow connector on back side of your unit.

Database files are located in extdata partition, you can use file manager from testmode to delete them. Other methods (resetting settings for example) are also available from testmode. Information about entering testmode is freely available in development topic on this forum (marked with green PINNED word on first page).Couldn't find the database files containing the passwords and resetting settings to defaults did not help.
You can also join our groupchat to get help with password reset.

This topic is almost completely abandoned as I know, but some people in our groupchat have good progress in upgrading (both hardware and software). Some Gods of soldering and reverse engineering even upgraded RAM and other chips.
-
There are several ways to do this - delete database files containing password, reset settings to defaults, use special scripts (some "businessmans" selling this) and so on. You can even rewrite extdata partition or whole sd card to reset password

No need to buy something if you are able to enter testmode

@vtm2003 try to clean up igo user data located in /data/ directory. You can reset settings using testmode's menu, you can remove files from igo directory in /data/ partition or you can just reflash latest firmware using testmode. Firmware update process also replaces /data/ partition (flashing new firmware from testmode renews almost all areas of internal sd card except /extdata partition where igo maps (and licenses) located).
If you still need 8000nex image - please backup your device and ask for 8000nex image in our chat.

WhatIsWhatIsWhatIsWhat, while i have you around..... is it possible to update the Nav software of the unit to an later/more up to date version? or is this only a firmware upgrade thingy? i have the F60DAB (NEX8000)
Yes, it is possible, especially if you can disable WARP You can even install another navigation software, but this is very complex process only for experienced users:
-
anyone know the size of the internal/unit storagesize for the NEX-8x /F60DAB ?
installing HERE 2015Q3 worked nicely 6GB+, but now i have got hold of HERE 2016Q2 EU and its 10GB
For 16 GB internal SD card /extdata partition for maps is exactly 13000 MB = ~12.69 GB
-
What exactly is stored in SD card?
Internal SD card contains Android system, user data and maps. SD card is partitioned into 8 partitions: two android boot partitions, two recovery boot partitions, /system readonly partition where Android system files stored, /data partition for program data (also for iGO navigation user profile, preferences, tracks and so on), /cache partition for temporary data and /extdata partition where iGO maps and licenses stored, also this partition for databases with user settings, media info and so on. At the beginning of sd card there is also unpartitioned special space with WARP driver and WARP snapshot data used for fast start.

Hi! Somebody experiencing difficulties with TMC reception in the latest version of the firmware that supports AVICSYNC?
Previously I used version 1.07 of firmware for my AVIC-F960BT (~5000NEX?) and TMC reception was very good (about 80-90 events in my city in few minutes after startup), now I'm using version 1.11 (where they avicsync introduced) and my unit receives 1-3 events during first 10-30 minutes of uptime.
Someone else experiencing the same problem?
