  1. Somebody wants to create and maintain a new topic with description of map updates, map update help and so on?
  2. All that you need - testmode_n.key. Jenkins project does not provide this key.
  3. Yes. But sometimes users still need to disassemble unit and write backup image directly into internal sd card. To restore your device without dismounting: 1) write backup image (using win32diskimager, dd command in *nix or something like this) into usb/sd flash of corresponding size. 2) use testmode_n.key type "copy device" written to FAT32-formatted USB stick (without additional partitions) to enter EasyRecovery mode. 3) execute Copy Device mode. To restore your device with dismounting and extracting internal sd card: 1) use testmode_n.key type "mode change". Just after mode
  4. Please delete all your licenses in device and add only really needed licenses. If this isn't help you, then try to copy licenses one by one to check which license leads this out of memory error. Also try to start copying (one by one) from base pioneer maps license from your original license pack from device.
  5. You get this error at the end or the beginning of copy process? It's OK if this occurred at the end of device backup and you have 4/8/16 GB image file.
  6. Welcome to the club! Never click on copy device! You can read our discussion here in topic with ml_homeboy about restoring device from this state.
  7. Try to write your own firmware in testmode to switch to different mode, try different testmode n and a keys, also you can disable this mode using bootloader UART console.
  8. Try to write image directly into usb stick (using win32diskimager or dd command from *nix based systems), then insert this usb stick into your device and start Copy Device mode (using Copy Device menu item in testmode or corresponding testmode_n.key). If this method isn't working for you - use "mode change" testmode_n.key to remove password from internal sd card, then insert this internal sd card into cardreader and write backup image directly into this card. P.S. нормальный у Ñ‚ÐµÐ±Ñ Ð°Ð½Ð³Ð»Ð¸Ð¹Ñкий, у некоторых хуже )
  9. You can unbrick your catch-snapshot-bricked unit using UART bootloader console for 30 seconds.
  10. I'm experiencing exactly the same problem Btw, new (unused) Russian version of Pioneer AVIC-F960BT costs now about $385 due to the low rate of national currency
  11. My own backups repository does not contain 8000NEX image, so at least I want this P.S. Don't click on Copy Device menu item. No progress at all, we need someone with pioneer head unit on the table (preferably with UART converter connected to device's yellow connector) who can do a lot of tests.
  12. Yo, m3_chris is talking about user-defined password to lock device startup after power loss, yo. Yo, user-defined password is not the same thing as SD card lock password (stored in BSP), used to protect sd card contents, yo.
  13. As far as I know, firmware for F960BT and for F960DAB is the same. So DAB feature is detected "on the fly" by running firmware. European F960DAB firmware is also removed from pioneer site: http://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/avic-f960dab/support But you can download this firmware using direct link: http://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/sites/pioneer_eu/files/firmware/AVIC-Fx60_AVICSYNC_Update.zip Please make full internal sd card backup before doing anything. Many people have accidentally clicked on Copy Device menu item and bricked their devices.
  14. Hi. Do full backup of your device. Then you can try to install firmware for another regions. At least 5000NEX firmware is working in F960BT and 8100NEX firmware is working in F70DAB. You can also backup only maps (iGo software) folder using AVICtoUSB script.
  15. ml_homeboy, kgse - have you read your private messages?
  16. Device searching for testmode keys in three places: external sd card, usb1, usb2. So you can use fat32-formatted sd-card if you device comes with sd-card slot.
  17. I think that Kura can help you with licenses and other European content. He just installed latest available European maps
  18. 1. Apply this patch 2. Use this scripts to copy directory of iGO navigation software to your usb stick. Then modify this directory on your PC/Mac, add needed maps, licenses and other content. Then copy this modified iGo directory back to device. https://www.google.com/?q=igo+maps+europe Yes. => 4GB for european maps.
  19. Just ask somebody here in topic. For example, ml_homeboy used this key so he know where you can get binary version of this key. Yes, you can send device to pioneer, but this will waste your money and time. Also you can restore your device just in 15 minutes using existing backup image.
  20. I think we can create google hangouts groupchat to support users. Anyone want to join us?
  21. Yes, just ask F70DAB EU users to upload their backup image. Also you can try to write Adam's 8100NEX image into your device, but this image may not work as expected. Testmode will not work until you write valid image as testmode files located on internal sd card. All that you can do now - use Copy Device testmode_n.key to enter Copy Device mode (located in nor flash, not in sd card) to copy valid image from external device into internal sd card.
  22. I think all we need repository with backup images of various models. For example, I need clean backup image from AVIC-F960BT European version. P.S. Adam's site contains backup images of 8100NEX and 5000NEX.
  23. Copy Device mode copies data sector by sector from external storage into internal SD card. So now your internal sd card contains copy of your usb flash drive. Copy Device mode will be used by you to restore your device. All that you need - backup image from exactly your device model. Please read our conversation with ml_homeboy starting from this post: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/81468-the-avic-development-mod/?p=337957
  24. Yes, you can delete all unnecessary content. Have you tried to upload image?
