  1. ok lets see 'em. I'm sure this topic will come up sooner or later so just thought i would start one now.... I'm still working on my custom bezel so i'll post after its all complete...
  2. The light flip trick works great. I have my Z1 completely installed per manual with the brake lead connected. I rarely need to access menus that are locked while i'm driving but if i want to i can just flip my light once at boot up and its unlocked. So easy. Now i can spot who else has a z1 in the parking lot!
  3. Yes when it comes to my Porsche i would not do anything that would jeopardize the internal computer. The reason I am not as concerned about the speed variation is the VSS only outputs signals which the Z1 reads. The faster you go the higher the voltage output is. The Z1 interprets the signal strength and attempts to calculate your speed using the gps. The Z1 manual even states that there could be variations between this and the car but always trust the cars speedo.   4. I agree with MChance000. I have this installed in my Porsche 996 for the past 3 days and the route calculation on the navigation is not very good. I live in Atlanta, GA and the map data is outdated and many streets are missing. When i enter an address it will be up to 1/2 mile off and request turns that are not neccessary. The routes it reccommends is not always the best route. It is good at getting you "close". I will have to play with the system more and see if i can fix this or set way points to give me the best route. I also have an issue with the speedometer accuracy. The Z1
