  1. what vehicle? and it depends on the manufacture of the harness you are using. in a metra harness there are 3 orange wires

orange is ilum (doenst dim with ip lights)
orange/white is dimmer positive (dims with ip lights)
orange/black is a negitive dimmer (special function most foriegn)
  2. there are going to look the same. the differance is going to be the dash kit you can use. where did you get it installed at, and what what dash kit do they use.
  3. your vehicle has a powered antenna module that need the orange wire at the factory radio harness powered. if the installer used a harness plug you should use the blue wire at the connector (power antenna) and connect that to the blue wire at the back of the radio (power antenna control wire). they probably looked at your car and was like there is no power antenna so we dont need to connect this wire. most foriegn car are being built this way. if you need more help just email or pm
  4. with a bose system in a gm vehicle there should be some type of bose badging some where in the vehicle. If not, you can call your local dealership and give them your vin # and they can tell you what your vehicle was equiped with. are you looking at the soundgate, metra, pie, or pac pieces.

there are two things that matter with your vehicle. amplified or non and onstar. those are what matter.
  5. i used to work for CC a few weeks ago. I was the Roadshop Manager. one thing i would have fired them on the spot. Violation of company policy.
second, dumb ass installer, would never hired them. now if they brought in the bypass from ducatiboy we could install that outside. not in the store. on the installers off time.
  6. if you are looking for the z or d's to be installed then you have to make a custom dash kit. there are many dash kits for a single din. the metra 99-6504 for a clean flush look. and a metra 99-6505 if you plan to install a different radio with a flip down face. the 6504 dosnt allow the face to fold down all the way.
  7. if you have the radio with a subwoofer the wire is in the radio harness. its not the main radio harness but a second harness just with 2 wires or it my just have the 1 wire depending of the vehicle trim model. the color is gray with a black stripe.

    or

pin 68 gray with black stripe on the 3.0l engine pcm which is mounted to the passenger firewall in the engine bay. the big black connector rigth under your windshield

    or

pin 28 gray with black stripe on the 2.0l engine pcm

    or

pin 3 gray with black on your cruise control module on the right side of the engine bay
  8. if anyone needs vehicle wire info or component locating you can pm me or sent an email to Brachoza@hotmail.com. I been in the car audio and security business for over 15yrs. and have alot of custom build under me.
now question is a stupid one. the wrong wire could cost you hundreds or even thousands.

This service is going to be free for the time being. in the future i my add a fee per page. just a thought
  9. according to mitchells on demand
the motor control unit in the engine compartment. Pin 82 which is a gray wire is one of the 2 wires. And pin 90 which is a blue wire is the other one. It doesnt state which one is the signal or return. try one if that doesnt work try the other one. If it has the resistor cap at the end of the vss wire (from the avic#) leave it on there
