  1. I'm getting a little frustrated cause tis thing doesnt seem to pruduce sound. Cany anyone help. I need to know if i have to connect the front and rear rca s on the z11obt to the deq-p8000, the processor wont register on the axm controller now and it did a few days ago. I know the processor works. Do I need to run the blue turn on lead from the z110 bt to the processor? Thanks!

  2. ^^ Details please.

just connect the Ip-bus cable and the normal power / ground connection. Select ext 1 since it will assign it to that ext. Use the grid on the screen to control your changer 1-6 , < > controls rr , ff .

If I remember correctly, you should be able to run optical from the DVD to the DEQP8000, but you'll still have to run RCAs to the Z110 for the analog sources. And you'll need the AXMP8000 to control it all

Do I just connect the "main unit " RCA to the Subwoofer output on the Z110bt to the AXM then to the DEQ or do I need to connect the speaker wires also?

    Thanks! :D

  4. Just FYI, your system is fine. There is a defect in Pioneer software in these units D3, N4, N5, Z series. I talked to my friend who is an installer and now owns his own shop and said that these were common software problems. He won't carry Pioneer because it works great and then is goes wierd. Mine does the same thing that you are having on the D3. I am going to get an N4 because I have a lot invested--cd changer, dvd changer, usb, xm, sirius, deq-p8000, BT, and MD instead of getting the newer Pioneer. I can't sell because I will lose out---I wanted the DNX9140.

  5. I need to replace either the exterior map button or the entire face plate on the D3. is this easy to do either with just the button or the entire black face plate? I looked at both pac parts and Pioneer and there is no picture or description on the map button or the ' face plate"---I found grille assembly or decorative trim but no other info so I am not sure what I need. Thanks!

  6. Not to disappoint you but it does act screwy. try resetting it. (reset button). I've had mine for lmost three years and jsut now the nav acts funny. the arrow goes the wrong way, takes too long to recalculate. I've had both the Eclipse and Alpine and the Pioneer has been the worst. But I don't travel much so I'm not too mad about it. I would like to get a kenwood instead. Just my 2 cents :)

  7. There are two cables from pioneer, one is a single adapter that plugs into the unit and your MP3. It is able to do audio and video depending on how your MP3 is set up--usually at the headphone jack. the other is 3 rca connections. Both worked when I connected the 60 gb ipod video I use. If you have an iphone you will need to get the rca cable along with the composite cable from apple. The single plug will only work in audio not video on the iphone. Note: if you use another mp3 player or ipod ---control is from the player not the unit.

  8. I wanted to share this with anyone who has a Pioneer unit including the D3, N4, and N5. I connected the japan carrazeria 6 MD changer which works great. I connected the xdv-p6 and it works also. USB was connected also. The Axm-p8000 controller is also connected. What i first did was connect the P6 and USB to EXT 1 and EXT 2 ---recently added th P6 which the unit set up as EXT 2. I then added the MD changer so I had to use the AXM controller unit to control the P6 which is now operated thru the AV1. I will later add the DEQ-P8000 which I will write an update to this thread. I currently have the USB, P6, BT. 12 PREMIER CD CHANGER, SIRIUS, iPOD, AND MD CHANGER CONNECTED.

    NOTES:

The p6 only has a few operations capable thru either the D3 (or any Pioneer unit) and the AXm. Don't bother calling Pioneer because they will insist that the P6's remote should have full control thru the D3--it doesn't.

Japan mini disc will work for those interested. I wanted this because I like mini discs and think they are perfect for the car envronment. Plus I have a Yamaha player/ recorder which is still brandnew and can't unload it so Ill put it to use.

Hope this helps, my only complaint is that they never added the software to control the USB or P6 which showed up on the N4 and N5. I like the F series and new x and Z series but I don't want to lose any $$$ upgrading. Plus the Nav software is screwy, works and then it doesnt.----luckily I hardly use it.

If anyone has questions just reply to this thread.

    :D
