  1. I have noticed the same issue with my X950BH.  I need to touch just slightly to the left of the Q, A, SHIFT, 123 buttons and I also need to touch just slightly above the space bar.  If I hit the space bar dead on, it reboots to the home menu.  All the other keys, however, are spot on for me too.  If I try and adjust the X and Y adjustments in AppEx, it throws the whole thing way off.  Even using small increments like setting X from 1.0 > 1.25.  So for now, I just leave X and Y at 1.0 and try to remember to adjust my typing for the left and the bottom.

Touch sensitivity works perfect now on my AVIC  X940BT since the last AppEX upgrade...

  2. I know this is a 950 thread but my 940 cunundrum is related.

Right now I run a jailbroken iPod 4G running ios 6.3 (redsnow partially tethered but it is stable and I only have to reboot for some

Apple software upgrades). Anyway, when I first started using StreamS HiFi it would not fill the screen properly and was shifted to the right as if the aspect was only meant to run on the larger 7" Appradio screen. Then, when I installed EC Touch, Stream S resized itself for some reason and now properly fills the smaller 6.1" screen of the 940 and EC Touch is also the correct size.

Tonight, I decided to try my wife's IPhone 4S unjailbroken with my 940 to see if it was quicker than the IPod 4G (which it seems to be). I installed Appradio on her phone along with StreamS HiFi and EC touch to see how they worked. Well, on her phone, StreamS is back to the wonky screen aspect and so now is EC Touch but if I plug my IPod Touch back in, everything is fine again.

Any ideas as to why my IPod Touch magically now runs with the correct screen sizes but the 4S won't? Not sure if the Touch being jailbroken has any impact or not.

  3.

Well I don't use Rdio so I haven't experienced that particular issue ... I too use an iPod permanently attached, left in the glovecompartment. I use Activator to ensure the AppRadio app is started as soon as power is connected and device locks when power is no longer recieved to ensure there's battery left next morning, that way I never have to interact with the iPod directly.. Maybe you could work some magic with Activator?

Thanks - new stuff to learn every day!

  4.

Nope, S.A.M seems to have, however you asked if it's possible to jailbreak 6.1.3, I answered 'Yes - however it must be a semi untethered or tethered solution as that is the only solution for 6.1.3 at this time' ;-) Was in here to ask my question above, regarding slow screen refresh/touch input on a 5.1.1 iPod 4 with 2.0.1-1 AppExt and 1.8.2 AppRadio app, just thought I would answer your question .... But as I stated above, i do not want a tethered or semi-untethered jailbreak thus I haven't updated to 6.1.3 on any of my idevices...

Correct - as my post said, I am running Redsnow( which is semi-untethered because my Ipod Touch was upgraded to 6.1.3 before I even considered the whole Jailbreak thing meaning I was screwed other than running semi-tethered but I should not have to re-boot very often if it stays charged) - so far so good.

Any comments about the Rdio issue?

  5. So I have Appradio Extensions running on my IPod Touch 4 with 6.1.3 using Redsnow (I did not know to not update my IOS until it was too late never having jailbroken before) and followed the latest advice on this page - thanks. Maybe this has been noted before but I had to install an app to remove the slide to lock otherwise Appradio would not start until I unlocked the IPod but now it works as I wanted, not requiring me to authorize Appradio on the IPod.

That aside, the only annoying thing is if I want to exit Rdio, it will not go back to the main Appradio Menu screen unless I exit Rdio on the iPod itself. I recall this being flagged on Avic411 and/or the Rdio site somewhere -anyone have this problem or

a solution as it is now the only reason I have to interact with the IPod which is otherwise in my glovebox.

    Thanks.

  6. Can I ask a dumb question that may have been answered on this site somewhere but I cannot find it: is there any way to bypass the requirement to accept the running of Appmode on an Ipod/Iphone before it will run on the 940BT? Whenever I start up Appmode, at some point I have to authorize it running on my ipod first before I can run appmode on the 940BT.

    Thanks.

  7. I just rode in a new Sante Fe SUV and note its navigation/head unit display/text is very visible in bright light - almost like the LCD displays some manufactures use for HVAC controls that are visible in direct sunlight or dark conditions. It looks like white paint floating on a black background - almost 3D looking.

They also seem to use much larger text which is both taller and wider and maybe that helps.

Are they using a different type of screen or is it just the way the text is laid out and programmed more in black and white, because my 940 sure washes out in direct sunlight no matter what I do with the brightness, contrast and dimmer settings?

I don't know if the Hyundai screen is touchscreen and maybe that affects contrast etc?
