  1. I see software updates are out for the older AVIC Units. Anyone installed it to see if it affects use of Iphone or Ipod 4 and App Extensions or otherwise? Thanks.
  2. Touch sensitivity works perfect now on my AVIC X940BT since the last AppEX upgrade...
  3. You'll be fine with Redsnow if you're only using the phone in the car with the Pioneer. My jailbroken iPod touch running iOS 6.1.3 and Rednow only rarely needs to be rebooted with some Cydia app upgrades, otherwise totally stable.
  4. I found a previous version of Rdio on another IPod Touch I have so I loaded it on my in-car Ipod Touch and it is now working again.
  5. Same here - Rdio is screwed - my favorite app is now buggered! Not sure which update or if both caused this. I have left a message on the Rdio Help Page and e-mailed Pioneer.
  6. Thanks - really appreciate the advice! Is the current version of the App only buggy with Jail-broken devices?
  7.     Too late for me - I already updated - Is there anyway to go back to the previous version? Can someone load up the previous version like was done earlier in this thread with an even earlier one? Cheers.
  8. I know this is a 950 thread but my 940 cunundrum is related. Right now I run a jailbroken iPod 4G running ios 6.3 (redsnow partially tethered but it is stable and I only have to reboot for some Apple software upgrades). Anyway, when I first started using StreamS HiFi it would not fill the screen properly and was shifted to the right as if the aspect was only meant to run on the larger 7" Appradio screen. Then, when I installed EC Touch, Stream S resized itself for some reason and now properly fills the smaller 6.1" screen of the 940 and EC Touch is also the correct size. Tonight, I

  10. It's too bad because Rdio a nice app in terms of graphics and I think the sound quality is one of the best.
  11. Correct - as my post said, I am running Redsnow( which is semi-untethered because my Ipod Touch was upgraded to 6.1.3 before I even considered the whole Jailbreak thing meaning I was screwed other than running semi-tethered but I should not have to re-boot very often if it stays charged) - so far so good. Any comments about the Rdio issue?
  12. So I have Appradio Extensions running on my IPod Touch 4 with 6.1.3 using Redsnow (I did not know to not update my IOS until it was too late never having jailbroken before) and followed the latest advice on this page - thanks. Maybe this has been noted before but I had to install an app to remove the slide to lock otherwise Appradio would not start until I unlocked the IPod but now it works as I wanted, not requiring me to authorize Appradio on the IPod. That aside, the only annoying thing is if I want to exit Rdio, it will not go back to the main Appradio Menu screen unless I exit Rdio on
  13. I don't have a Subaru but the button lights on my 940BT do not dim -which I find a little odd but apparently that's the way it rolls...
  14. Pioneer has a list of compatible apps that run with its Appradio software and various units. http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/POCEN/Car/AppRadio To go beyond that requires a jail broken IPhone/Pod or Android (the latter only with Appradio head Units I believe)- Check out the forums here re: Appradio Extensions / Cydia.
  15. Thanks very much. Another weekend AVIC Project for me - and I thought high-end house audio/home theater was techy - ha.
  16. Can I ask a dumb question that may have been answered on this site somewhere but I cannot find it: is there any way to bypass the requirement to accept the running of Appmode on an Ipod/Iphone before it will run on the 940BT? Whenever I start up Appmode, at some point I have to authorize it running on my ipod first before I can run appmode on the 940BT. Thanks. SM
  17. I just rode in a new Sante Fe SUV and note its navigation/head unit display/text is very visible in bright light - almost like the LCD displays some manufactures use for HVAC controls that are visible in direct sunlight or dark conditions. It looks like white paint floating on a black background - almost 3D looking. They also seem to use much larger text which is both taller and wider and maybe that helps. Are they using a different type of screen or is it just the way the text is laid out and programmed more in black and white, because my 940 sure washes out in direct sunlight no matter
