  1. it possibly could be the phone firmware. my friend's lg dare had that issue and she updated the firmware on it and everything worked great. what i would do is pull out the batt and see if it just needs a reset on the phone and reconnects.

if not, then delete the phone on the d3. reconnect it by putting your phone in discoverable mode and having the radio search for the phone. pair them up and register the phone as phone 1. and dont forget to transfer the contacts too.

  2. youre probably gonna get a huge run around with the slime bags that you ordered from. if i were you i would call them, tell them you need the order canceled and that you are also going to call your credit card and dispute the charges if they still charge you for it. just keep an eye on your statement...those online camera stores (mostly based in new york) are super shady!

  3. i think maybe you should try just connecting the speaker leads directly instead of using rcas. the 700 and 900 both have very weak preout voltage...about 2 volts. the 90bt, however, has 4 volt preouts which are much better in eliminating noise interference.

so maybe give that a shot and see if it works. you may need to pick up a different harness though that has speaker leads instead of rcas.

  4. i searched for this when i was working on my friends 700bt and lg rumor and i didnt find any answers to it. i eventually figured out why her phone would pair up with the 700 but when a call was placed, nothing would show up on the screen and the person on the other side would be able to hear, but nothing would come through the speakers.

so in the menu settings for the rumor, you must update the firmware on the phone. itll download it and restart the phone. after that, it took a bit of time to get the head unit to recognize the phone and transfer the phone book, but it eventually did and now everything works flawlessly.

so if anybody is having problems with the sprint lg rumor and the f series bluetooth, thats what i did to fix the issue.

  5. did you hook up the amp turn on wire? its normally a blue one that runs to the amps and connects to the radio. every time your turn on the raido, it tells the amps to turn on. on the pioneer, its a blue/white wire. also the boxes you are referring to are line out converters. those are used if rca outputs are not available on the radio.

  6. yeah you can fit that radio in there. must have been a new installer. i work at bb and we carry the double din kit as well as the harness that will work with the audiophine system. so your underseat sub will still work. i would find a different installer, if he isnt confident about working on an f150, i wouldnt let him even look at it. f150s are some of the easiest trucks to work on.

  7. yeah same here. when i had a d3 i mounted it there. and at work that is where i mount all the bluetooth mics when i install them.

i also have a LOUD exhaust on mine....its probably because every bluetooth chipset responds a little differently to different phones. my voyages worked great in my d3, but terribly in my 90bt. ill try my palm treo later today and see how that works.

  8. i have a 90bt in my 07 mustang gt as well! i also have an alpine 4ch amp and alpine speakers. i just use the shaker 500 door subs.

on my verizon lg voyager, the bluetooth is TERRIBLE. my g/f says that when i talk to her through it, its like the mic is outside and she has a really hard time hearing me. ive moved the mic all over the place and still the same. im going to try my palm trio and see if its any better.

glad you are having good luck with yours!!

  9. i live in riverside, ca and its a well covered area for msn direct and mine hasnt worked for about 3 weeks. good thing its the trial version. its said "connecting" for 3 weeks now.

but just to make sure....it runs through your am/fm antenna, so just assure its plugged in.

  10. He went to Best Buy (why, I don't know) to get the system installed.

oh yeah, btw im a best buy installer as well. i love all the trash talking about us....there's bad installers everywhere...trust me ive seen the installs from all our local shops, as well as cc, other best buys and do it yourself-ers.

  11. true......for the most part. the jbl systems in the new toyotas are horrible to integrate into. i installed a z1 my dads 07 tundra with the 12 speaker jbl and it sounds like ass. he doesnt mind it but it drives me crazy. the factory jbl amp gets its signal through a digital computer signal, so the integrator the installer was telling you about translates the analog audio signal to a digital signal to feed the toyota amp. however, the scosche integrator is a piece of junk. the metra version, from what ive heard is much better. that integrator needs a high output signal in order to produce a somewhat decent signal to the amp. its possible that the 4v preout from the 90bt will suffice, but cant say for sure. ive had to use an adjustable line out converter in order to get the proper sound from the jbl amp.
