actually problem is solved already. I CAN use simultaneously both devices. hardwired 5V power for apple av adapter + regular cable for iPod. 

You can not use both at once.

I put a switch on the power of the pin 30, so as to pass to hdmi without removing the iPod.
We still go to the settings every time.
