  1. I have a z1 with sirius installed and a few days ago I noticed that there was no sound coming from the right side speakers. The speakers work when using any of the other audio sources though. Has anyone else seen this before? Where should I start with trying to fix it?
  2. I screwed the sleeve to the plastic on the underside and the top. Because the clearance was too tight to fit even the angle drill I had, I used a hot nail to make the pilot hole and then I used one of those s shaped screwdrivers to screw them in. I bet you could use a small rivet gun though, that would be even more secure. I dont see how you could make it too hard to remove though since you dont even need a key to get it out, just a tiny phillips screwdriver. Dustin
  3. The bracket (cage) fit in the dash opening nicely. The two brackets that you screw onto the size of the z1 cause the bracket to bulge out a bit though. The z1 slides in nicely until it hits those two screwed on brackets, then i needed to genly pry on each side with a screwdriver and push like hell to get it all the way in. You are right about all the extra plastic in there, getting rid of it makes life easier. I left the bottom and top pieces in and I managed to drive screws through the bracket and into the plastic. That made a big difference in the stability of the unit since not m
  4. Overall I am pretty happy with the unit, but the voice recognition SUCKS. Today I tried to get it to dial phone numbers for over a half an hour, it never got it right once. There are a few commands that work well with it, like return home. For the most part it sucks and the frustration is more distracting that just using the buttons on the screen. Dustin
  5. I have read that the address book transfer works with other car bluetooth units, particularly factory installed ones in audi and bmw cars. The phone has to have 4.1 or greater software on it though. The bug must be with the pioneer unit then. Dustin
  6. My bluetooth adapter showed up today and it was a pretty easy installation. I was able to get my Blackberry 7100i to pair up with it right away and it seemed to work really well. I was happy enough with the sound quality and the people I talked to didnt hear any echo or anything, they said it didnt even sound like they were on speaker phone. The only problem I have is my address book is not transferring to the stereo. I have it set to transfer the phonebook to the stereo on the blackberry but its not doing anything. Dustin
  7. Thanks, now I just need to find the sir-pnr2! Dustin
  8. Have any of you heard anything regarding the ETA of the nd-bt1 adapter? Dustin
