Everyone I know who has followed the instructions correctly has run into no problems. As it's been stated numerous times throughout this entire thread- grounding the parking brake is completely unnecessary. I'd say triple check all your wiring.

Just want to update, been using the bypass w/o the parking brake grounded for over a week and a half and it's still working great.

3 days now. Seems to be working fine.

I installed the navigation with just the bypass wire. Did nothing with the parking brake lead. Everything works fantastic- no messages about anything being wired incorrectly! Locked out of nothing. The wire status shows "Parking Brake: Off" Using the VSS signal as well.
