well i had it put in by my installer. love the unit, it works great, however i have one problem. something is wrong with the dimming, it will only dim with the parking lights on (will not dim with headlights on) and sometimes it wont even dim with the parking lights on. im thinking i should tell him to change the dimming wire to one that is on the switches by the cig lighter, as stated by someone above.

o yea the tune makes a big difference. i got a bunch of bolt ons and am putting down like 325rwhp and 335 rwtq last time i got tuned on the dyno!

no it is the black kind of triangle thing stuck to the inside of the windshield.

the moto h700 actually works well with the loud exhaust, it has noise cancellation, so it basically blocks it out. people tell me it is much easier to hear me with the headset on then just using the phone, when driving and getting on it.

so the voice recog is kind of useable? im never gonna add the bluetooth speaker phone, can get you in trouble if you got a chick in the car, i just use a moto h700 headset.

is there any point in instaling the microphone wire? i can't use the bluetooth ever, since i have long tube headers and flowmasters on my car, so basically its just for the voice recognition, which sucks and is not really useable right?

since my car has the shaker 1000, is the vss wire connected to the radio currently? i heard this car has oss, not vss, does it need some kind of adapter before connecting it? also, what about the dimmer wire? where do i connect it to? im about to have an avic z1 installed.

could i use 3m double sided tape on the top of the antenna to stick it to the bottom of the dash, and then put a metal plate underneath? or would it be better to 3m the plate to something and then just have the antenna stuck to it with the magnet?

i have this antenna in my mustang for like 2 years, it is currently connected to a sirius sportster. i tried this antenna, and an outside one, and the reception is almost identical. this is the one i am going to be using for my avic z1 sirius tuner. it is a nissan SIGMA antenna, cost about $70, and no ugly antenna outside the car! it as barely noticeable mounted above my gentex mirror

did you ever get the usb interface? im wondering if it will work with a rio karma.

the avic is getting put in on thursday, i have almost all the info i need (bypass etc), i live in nyc so i want the gps antenna hidden. where have you guys with the mustangs been putting them? seems like in the dash is the best place. i read that the foil that comes from pioneer doesnt give very good gps reception, so i should have it installed on a metal plate that i can stick in the dash correct? my installer suggested on the top of the dash, but i want it hidden.

ok so the dimmer wire has to be connected which wire on the headlight switch? since the car has oss instead of vss it needs the analog to digital converter installed on it right?

so you can mount it on the windshield? i thought that the top of the antenna had to be facing up, and the magnet part facing down?

i am about to have a z1 installed in my 05 GT, what is the prob with the dimmer and DSS wires? i have the wiring harness adapters from crutchfield.

one more question, i am going to be able to use the aux input cdrb10 and the sirius tuner box together correct?
