  1. You have to go into the map settings and select the state you are in. Mine though I was in Washington when I first installed it and then I found the map and selected TExas and it all works great now!
  2. Never mind...I figured it out. It is the hard drive. I hooked my kids MP3 player up to the unit and it worked fine. I think it is because the hard drive requires two USB connections one for power and one for connection and I had it hooked to a USB hub. It didn't work. It works fine on the computer without the hub but not with. So off to FRY'S!!!! LOL
  3. I have a portable USB powered hard drive that I've attached to a UB100 but my AVIC D3 doesn't see it. Anyone have any ideas???? My plan was I have over 400GB of MP3 and I wanted to put 160GB in my car to have at all time. So I bought the UB100 and connected it via the IPBUS cables to my AVIC D3 but it says no usb device attached.
  4. not sure if it is the same for the Z1 or not; but here is what I did for the D3 adn it worked great. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=51493#51493
  5. I figured it out...mine was doing the same thing and I couldn't transfer my address book. I have a D3 and the BTB200 with a Blackberry Pearl. What I did was I had to register my phone (instructions on page 106 of the AVIC User manual). Basically you go to the register phone option on the AVIC after you've paired and connected it and hold down an empty slot until your phone name appears. This also fixed the auto connect as it makes a profile for your phone on the AVIC. Next you select the phone book transfer on the AVIC, then on the Blackberry you go under bluetooth and select Phone Bo
