does that mean that my gps will be a bit off since i do not have a vss?

Hi i am interested on getting the D3 with ipod connected. But does anyone kno where the VSS on a 2007 Ford Fusion is? I am taking it to a local installer and want to have know everything that i will have to explain to him. Also can i hide the unit for the gps? or does it have to sit in plain site?
