  1. Awesome! I'm sure I have an old DEI unit in a box somewhere. Packrat joy!
  2. I'll check to see if that may be the culprit. Thanks for your input. I was hoping someone could direct me to the best or proper wiring for the lan module (gmos4 I think) and the swips that's in my truck. I remember seeing info on the correct wiring or the best/recommended tap in points to the OEM wires.
  3. HELP!!! D3 in 2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS. Here's the symptoms that occur randomly and without any consisitency; - Occasionally my steering wheel control buttons don't work but then I wait a few minutes and they do work, even after reprogramming and replacing swips unit (twice). - Occasionally when using the turn signals or braking the HU will change bands or source. Very weird. I was reasonably sure the issue lies in having an improper connection with the swips or gm lan module. I don't know what I don't know about this crap and will be taking all the info to my new installer so he ca
  4. I guess I really need to spell this out to avoid the miscommunication. I understand you couldn't just stuff a wire in there and make it work, well at least not reliably for any length of time. ASSUMING a person utilizes an appropriate pin to retain a newly installed wire into the appropriate location within the harness connector, this method should also allow the bypass to work correctly. ... unless I'm missing something else?
  5. I'm not 100% certain but if my harness is utilizing all of the wires (VSS, brake, mute, etc.) why couldn't you just install another wire to the empty location of the harness to work the bypass?
  6. I wish to preform the D3 bypass without interfering with mute capability. I have a 2007 Trailblazer SS with Onstar integrated and need/want my mute function intact. I think I must be missing something in the write ups because I don't understand why you couldn't just add an additional wire to the harness to facilitate the bypass. Big brains please speak up and guide me in the right direction. Cheers, Steve

    DVD Maps

I feel your pain bro. The map data for the D3 absolutely SUCKS!!!!! My Garmin handheld eats it for POI's and recent road additions. As soon as Pioneer realeases a new DVD I'll be getting it but I don't hold out high hopes for any serious upgrades to the road and POI data. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
  8. ...forgot to mention, I had them install the GPS antennae under the dash and have no reception difficutlies whatsoever. I am located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada so you know the signals will get stronger to the south. I also ditched the XM and added the Sirius tuner box to the D3 while integrating it into the OEM "Shark Fin" antennae so I wouldn't have a fugly antennae block being an eyesore on my truck. There is a guy in California that makes satellite radio antennae adaptors that allow you to use the factory satellite radio antennae. I'd tell you who it is but I forget so a little googling
  9. Great Truck!!! On a side not you should visit http://www.tbssowners.com for truck info and deals. I also have a 2007 TBSS and have had phantom issues with the SWIPS misinterpreting and misexecuting signals. I have source/band changes seemingly at random but strangely coincidental with my signal or brake activation. There are a few guys with this setup on the TBSS forums and it isn't an uncommon problem. I will soon be taking it into my new installer with the SWIPS wiring info I searched out here. The shop that installed it (and failed to correct it after four total visits) forgot to ho
