If the D3 is bypassed correctly do the GPS prompts interrupt while DVD is playing?

Does the D3 need an external DVD player as well? Or is the DVD built in on the D3?

I just have a couple questions regarding the D2 bypass. First off, is the D2 bypass process the same as the D2 bypass process. Secondly, does the D2 have a built in DVD player or does it just have adapters for an external DVD player?
