VSS is hooked up. I've had the unit for nearly a year now and this has only been a problem for about a month. Coocho are you suggesting I wait to drive until the gps is fully loaded because if this is simply when the map is accessible, my unit typically only takes about 30 seconds to load. If you are attempting to pair through the registration setting in the deck, try to pair using the phone instead. I have the Z1 and I have to set my Verizon XV6700 to search for blue tooth signals and pair that way. I hope this is clear. Good luck.

While driving lately my Z1 has my postion behind my actual position on the road. For example I will have made a turn and the Z1 shows I have not made the turn yet. I have used the modify present position option numerous times and the next time I get in the car, I have to modify my position again. Any help fixing this is greatly appreciated.

As 03Vic-HPP said the Z1 won't create a cd from music stored in the Z1 (off the hard drive or whatever). When you say "If someone were to take a CD that was recorded in the Z1" do you mean recorded from the CD to the Z1's hard drive? Or are you still thinking the Z1 can take music from it's hard drive and "record" to a CD? The second part is not possible. The Z1 can not create a CD. But if you mean when someone sticks a CD (that was purchased or burned from a computer that already has music on it) into the Z1 let it transfer the music off the CD and put it on to the Z1's internal

Thanks DB, you can always be counted on for an answer. Let me ask you to go one step further. If someone were to take a CD that was recorded in the Z1 and analyze it to determine if it was copied would they be able to make that determination? Thanks again.

Does the Z1 burn a CD the same way a computer cd burner does or is the recording simply stored in the hard drive? Thanks.

I have my Z1 installed in a 05 Altima SE-R and it looks great.

If you have a Z1 and haven't installed Ducati Boy's flasher, your crazy. I've had my Z1 for a couple of months installed the flasher yesterday and now I feel the Z1 is worth the money. Being able to utilize all the features, "no I don't watch DVD's while driving", but POI's etc., is great to be able to do without stopping the vehicle. Drove into NYC to see the Mets last night and the Z1 got me to and back home to Albany without a glitch. Thanks Ducati Boy.

Thanks for the responses guys. I think is sucks that you can't say call John Jones. Having to go the phonebook and manually press the name you want to call is rediculous. The whole idea of hands free is eliminated. I do have voice command on my XV6700 Pda/phone but the voice command prompt does not activate the AVIC's voice command. I also don't like when you make a call and you need to enter and extension you cannot press the buttons on the AVIC you have to press the buttons on your cell. It's a good product that needs refinement. Hopefully Pioneer will come out with software upgrades

How do I increase the volume of calls coming in over BT? When I receive calls, it's hard to hear the caller. How do I increase the volume and can the volume be increase during the call? How do I use voice command to call a number I have stored in the phonebook? I activate VC, say call Christine, and the response I get is that there is no applicable data in the database. How is everyone making calls? What is the simplest way? I do not know the phone numbers of my contacts so this is not an option to say dial number and then say the number. I want to be able to say call A

I have 1700 miles on my Z1 and the 3d calibration is still in simple hybrid. Left and right turns are full. Anyone have any ideas?
