  1. This is my concern about the ND-BT1 and CD-BTB200 as it relates to the AVIC-Z3. Sources for the cams? Oh lordy, I'd have to go look, I bought 7 cams from 7 sources to check them out. Do a google search on backup camera or mobile camera or car camera and you'll come up with a ton.. All my best, mm1
  3. Heck, the same place you picked up that universal DVD changer (don't know if it works with the Pioneer, but it DOES work with other touchscreens, mine for example), you can pickup a touchscreen unit doubledin 6.5" motorized touchscreen for about $375 that will work with it fine. Why pickup a Pioneer DVD changer when you can just add a second system? I use my AVIC for NAV, CD changer, AM/FM and backup cam. Since it's mounted up top where friendly law enforcement folks might see it, all they will see is nice legal stuff. Put the second unit at the bottom of your console and use it f
  4. Check one of the screens to see if you have the old ESC key, or if it now says HIDE. This was in the 2 page manual.. HIDE is the nomenclature for the 2006 version..

I agree with the other, backup cams are great! Given the information you provided in your note, allow me to make a few suggestions when you're out there in the ether selecting a camera: 1) FIRST, talk to your technician or car install guy/gal and go over the car to ascertain where you can place a camera and what kind of camera will fit to do the job you want. It won't do you any good to find the "perfect" camera that's 1" longer than the car can accommodate, for example. You had mentioned, for example, that you tow things with your vehicle. This means that you don't want to pi
  6. One thing that was evident from the 2 page manual alluded to previously, is that you will have a "HIDE" button with the new software, when previously the button said "ESC"?? I'm only guessing because my car guy loaded the new ebay-bought discs and system before I ever saw mine, so I've never seen the old interface.. Although there's some BIG mistakes on the new one. Is there a place to report "oops's?" In Cincinnati if you try to navigate to Forest Fair Mall (been there over 10 years), you don't get within two X-way exits and are in the middle of a cow pasture (you can see the
  7. You might try peeking at ebay and search for car DVD changer. I found a Hong Kong supplier (figured he was safe, almost 20,000 sales and 99%), and got a double DIN unit with motorized 6.5" touchscreen and a DVD changer. You have two options: The touchscreen unit WITHOUT a single DVD drive on the unit The touchscreen unit WITH a single DVD drive on the unit The cost for the touchscreen unit WITH single DVD and DVD changer was $725. The cost for the touchscreen unit WITHOUT the single DVD unit was $525. You can get the DVD changer alone for about $220 plus shipping.
