i have my antenna on the front of my windshield is that a good place? it says on the unit my antenna connection is good

Has anyone had problems with there nav going crazy on there unit? i started my car up the other night driving home and it said i was driving in the next town over in lake that middle of a lake? i have no idea wat happend so i reset the unit and it put me to new york so i had to put myself in chicago. ???? anyone else have this problem

sooo if I want to hook it up to a switch, I just take the illumination wire and look that to the positive to the switch? and then ground it? please explain The illumination wire is normally connected to a wire in the car that becomes +12v when the headlights are turned on. If you want to do this manually with a switch, then connect a +12v source wire to one side of a switch. Then connect the other side of the switch to the D3's illumination wire. To have my screen dim when its night time what do I have to do??? Because that thing is bright as hell

Quick question... now I have the d3 and if I bypass it will it allow me to search addresses and destinations when I am driving? Now Ill be driving and when I want to plan a route or something I cant until Im stopped with the parking brake up.
