Got it all working with the GM31 module, turns out the 3.5mm plug going into the radio was not completely plugged in all the way. Once I got it securely plugged in the steering wheel controls worked in all modes.

Do your steering wheel controls work in Bluetooth and AppRadio modes? I have volume control working in all modes, but next track and previous track don't seem to work. I'm using a PAC GM31 module...
