  1. Great! I'll try to remember to give an update this fall after the 5s comes out and I complete this mod
  2. So, would plugging this cord http://dx.com/p/8-pin-lightning-male-to-female-extension-cable-for-iphone-5-ipad-4th-mini-ipad-white-105cm-199663 into Apple's Lightning Digital AV Adapter prevent (i.e. kill) video out? I'm guessing that an extension cable like this probably doesn't have the video-out chip/decoding. The CD-IH202 cable is too short and having it and the AV Adapter in view is too messy for me. Would like to have 1 single cable coming out from dash and keep the CD-IH202 and AV Adapter behind the dash.

    2012 maps

Catastrophe averted. Tried multiple times and eventually, after the message "Unreadable Disc" showed, it showed "Start Update." Thank God. Drive might be on the way out. Hopefully it'll hold on until I update my maps…lol.

    2012 maps

I received my 2012 Map Update today. When I inserted the disc into my AVIC-Z2, I got an message "Unreadable Disc." WTF?
  5. So, what I said above (7 months ago). What?...you guys didn't believe me? "Insert Rodney Dangerfield quote here."
  6. UPDATE: It won't be coming out. Just got off the phone with Shelly, from Customer Support. She spoke with the staff in the Navigation Dept. and was told that they do NOT plan to release a 2011 map update for the AVIC-Z2/Z3 line this year. And, Pioneer is only going to release map updates every other year (once every 2 years) instead of every year. My understanding was that meant every unit will only have map updates every 2 years. Would've been nice if Pioneer would've given us a 2011 update and put us on the same 2-yr update schedule as the newer models...since the Z120BT, X920BT,
  7. I finally got the update to complete. I estimate that I had to hit the "Retry" key about 40-50 times for it to continue past 37%. Once it progressed past 37%, there were no more errors.

  9. Think I'll try hitting the retry button a couple hundred times first . If that doesn't work, then I'll reinstall the 40GB drive and install the '09 update on there. I never needed the larger drive for storage since I have all my music & videos on my iPod. If I still can't get'r fixed, then I'll PM ya. Thanks G. -Scott
  10. Okay, I found this post from 2007. So, maybe I'll try hitting retry/restart a couple hundred times and hope that it will keep progressing. But, any other help would be muy bueno.

  12. PLEASE HELP! I'm worried that I've rendered my AZIC-Z2 unusable. Last year I bought Garrettoomey's 60GB HD to update to a Z3 w/2008 maps...worked great. Recently, I bought the 2009 map disc (CNDV-900HD) directly from Pioneer and was trying to install the 2009 upgrade last night. It was upgrading flawlessly until 37% completion, then it hit an error. Now, each time I try to restart the update it picks up where it left off (at 37%) and within seconds the error message reappears. Since the password obtained from Pioneer's website is for one-time use, I assume that reinstalling the original 40

  14. I too want to thank Vandal ...for picking up Pioneer's slack and providing a workaround to their greed. Can't believe they wanted us to wait until April/May '09 to buy the '09 Map Update just to fix the logos. Thanks again Vandal!
  15. I already tried to. This is what I wrote on some on the other posts regarding update the XM station logos: I just got off the phone with Pioneer and they said that the station logos are updated through the Map Update discs. The next map update won't arrive until April '09! Lazy *** Pioneer . Take several hours to fix this and make your customers happy. I'd be willing to pay someone on here, that has the skills to fix the station logos, $20 for their service Well, I say that everyone should either: 1) Call them at 800.421.1404 (opt 2, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1) and let your voice be he
