  1. I have a 5000 nex and have my IPhone 6 connected thought USB to use the CarPlay feature. I am have a problem hearing siri anytime its activated. I can only hear it in the front door speaker and its very low. Can anyone help me out and play siri on all speakers?
  2. Hey all, playing around with my new AVIC-6000 NEX. Have the latest and greatest firmware that allows CarPlay. But for some reason, when I use Siri in CarPlay, it seems to take a minute for the speech to get from me to my iPhone 6, almost like lag. I'll say something, then about 3-5 seconds later I'll start to see Siri on screen recognize me speaking. AM I doing something wrong here?
  3. Just had my new AVH-4100NEX professionally installed and all seems to works great except when I activate Siri or try to make a phone call. When I activate Siri I can see that she is working but I can’t hear what she is saying. The same happens when I make or receive a call on my phone the person on the other end can hear me perfectly but I cannot hear them. I have used Bluetooth with a Plantronics headset in the past so I know that it works. I have tried every setting I can think of using. I even tried to make calls in Bluetooth only without plugging in the lighting cable w
  4. The dilemma continues. From this forum the choice between Axxess and iDataLink was clear, the later preserved the most OEM buttons and functions. Recently PAC released their RP4-HD11 and from what I'm reading on the crvownersclub forum, it preserves all steering wheel controls (SWC) and also preserves the ability to manage your i-Mid display. If anyone here is a NEX fan, and you own a 4th generation Honda CR-V (2012-2015), might want to look at: PAC RP4-HD11 http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=1196&CategoryID=26 I just ordered one, and will shout back
  5. I'm sure a lot of you have run into it... the messaging bug where Siri seem to read the last message you sent to someone, instead of reading the most recent message they sent to you. It can sometimes make any attempt at a hands-free conversation pointless. It's NOT a language thing. I tried having her read messages to me in a variety of ways... "read texts" -- "read unread messages" -- "read unread text from so-and-so"... etc. NOTHING solves it except this cancel button thing I'll describe below. I do have firmware 1.08. Matter of fact I just updated last week and the whole messaging thing
  6. Has anyone found a steering wheel control that will trigger Siri? I know I can press the middle button on the unit, but it would be even nicer if I could keep my hands on the wheel. I have the AVH-4000NEX installed in my 2007 Jeep Patriot with the PAC RP4-CH11 adapter. I know how to customize which of my steering wheel controls map to which wired remote setting, but none of the ones I tried seemed to work. Here's a list of the wired remote signals the adapter can send to the unit: Volume + —Works Volume - —Works Mute —Didn't test Preset
  7. I'm sure it's been discussed before but is anyone else with an iPhone 5 having the issue with Siri calling you instead of working on the Appradio? I have the newest appradio app, firmware and I'm on IOS 6.1. Any info is much appreciated!
  8. Does anyone know if this will be supported. I would love it if I could use this!
  9. Is anyone using the AppRadio with Siri? Can you use it hands free while driving? Can you bring it up hands free while driving?
  10. I just installed my Z130bt in my car the other week and have enjoyed it a lot. I am slowly learning some of the more eclectic features and one that came up was, How well does Siri from the Iphone4s work with the Z130bt? I have my Iphone4S attached to the headunit via the Pioneer ipod cable and I am able to listen to music from the phone's HD, Pandora, Mog, ect... but what I would like to be able to do is command Siri to play a certain song, album, or artist. I was able to acomplish this in my old car since I would connect the Iphone4S to my old Pioneer headunit by a 1/8'th inch headphone to A
