  1. I am re-purposing my Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS head unit into a 2011 Subaru WRX that has steering wheel buttons for stereo control and also Bluetooth buttons for phone on/off hook and voice command. The head unit is Bluetooth capable from the screen for both telephone calls and hands free voice commands. I have installed an AXXESS AWCS-1, and the radio functions from the wheel work fine, but the Bluetooth are ignored. The buttons work though, because I can re-purpose them for other radio functions and they work. I just received an email from AXXESS that the AWCS-1 is not capable of controlling
  2. I have the NEX4200 and love the fact that the Mode button on the front of the head unit switches between Android Auto and HD Radio. Is there any way to get my steering wheel control (Mode) button to do the same thing. It seems to just switch sources, which is useless to me. Will the Pioneer accept the Mode command via the steering wheel control plug? Any hack? Thank you, Tom

  4. The dilemma continues. From this forum the choice between Axxess and iDataLink was clear, the later preserved the most OEM buttons and functions. Recently PAC released their RP4-HD11 and from what I'm reading on the crvownersclub forum, it preserves all steering wheel controls (SWC) and also preserves the ability to manage your i-Mid display. If anyone here is a NEX fan, and you own a 4th generation Honda CR-V (2012-2015), might want to look at: PAC RP4-HD11 http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=1196&CategoryID=26 I just ordered one, and will shout back
  5. So I just installed carplay on my 4000-next this morning. SWC controls work only for volume up and down while in carplay, previous and next does not work. Mode looks like it switches background audio input so I can get radio running in the background of carplay? Anyone else having similar issues? Next and Previous work correctly outside of carplay.
