  1. Hi All, I am having a really bizaar problem and I'm hoping someone here can help me out or point me in the right direction. All of a sudden this problem just started, when I start my car my headunit starts displaying the pioneer splash screen like normal, but after 1 second it just goes black. The wierdest part about this problem is that I can still opperate the headunit like normal, I can press on the screen and it responds to clicks even though the screen is black. All other buttons still work as well on the base of the unit, the only button that doesn't work is the CD release butt
  2. is anyone experiencing issues with the avh-p8400bh and the touch screen not respond to touch intermittently? this happens to me atleast once a week where i cannot change anything on touch screen no matter what source it is on. There isnt any specific way for me to make it happen. i can drive for 2 hours in the trucks and its fine. other times on way home from work (30 minute drive) it will freeze. The only fix so far has been to turn off my truck and back on and back to normal. i called pioneer and they asked if I had a wired remote (for steering wheels controls) which i do and they said

  4. I would like to connect a small form factor PC to the aux A/V input on my unit. As far as video and audio this shouldn't be a problem at all. My question is more about the touch capability itself. Would it be possible to somehow forward the touch screen output to USB so that it could be used as a HID device instead of a mouse or other pointing device?
  5. Hello, i've had the avh-p4200dvd installed in my 02 subaru impreza for just over year now and everything had been working well. On saturday when i turned on my car, the music began playing as usual, however the touch screen is unresponsive. I turned off the car, turned it back on, the music began playing and the touch screen worked for about 2 minutes before becoming unresponsive again. I pushed the reset button, waited for the unit to reboot and the screen worked for 2 minutes before being unresonsive again. I spoke with Pioneer and because my warranty is expired they suggested taking it to t
