  1. I've had my car for almost two years now and this is the first time I've had problems with the D3. Problem: I turned my car on today and the bluetooth options suddenly aren't available anymore. The only button I can push is "radio".. everything else is suddenly grey. What I tried: I've restarted my car, reset the D3 by pushing the reset button on the front of my screen, this didn't fix anything. I even tried resetting it twice. This was installed by the last car owner. I don't know if it was professionally installed or if they did it. All wires are hidden (bluetooth mic is to the left of my head by the sun visor, but only the mic is visible, no hanging wires, and there's a (I'm guessing) signal/transmitter (small black square) on my dash on the passenger side with the wires hidden inside the dash) so I'm assuming professionally installed. I don't know where to look to see if wires came loose? From looking online it looks like the bluetooth is a separately installed piece? Any help/suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! I can upload pictures if anyone needs to see what the screen in showing. Just let me know!

  3. Possible to Skin UI

I was wondering if it was possible to skin the AVIC D3's user interface. If it would be possible by modifying an update file, or another method instead of just simply changing the background. Thanks
  4. Good morning everyone. I wanted to see if I could get some suggestions for my AVIC D3. The radio isn't picking up any signals at all. The sound does work (can play and hear DVD's, iPod, etc) but nothing when I try to use the radio. The unit came out of my old truck. It was working fine. One day the radio just stopped picking up signals; no static, no sound, nothing. I checked the wiring and even hooked a different radio in the truck...the other radio worked fine and my D3 didn't. Got a new truck. Replaced the working factory radio with my D3 and got the exact same thing. In my new truck, there's no power antenna, but still connected the antenna adapter to the wire that powers on the unit; actually tried tapping into 2 different power sources. Still nothing. I'm wondering if I need to get a new harness for the back of my unit. Any thoughts or ideas I should try?
  5. Okay so I have a 2000 Mustang with stock speakers. (I put in the dashboard trim from an '04 so that I could use a 2 DIN stereo instead of a flip screen) Anyway, I just finished installing the stereo and everything works great except for the fact that I have zero sound. Can somebody please tell me what I should do? I've only installed a couple stereos before and all the wiring was fairly simple. I don't know where to go from here.
  6. D3 Bluetooth Alternatives

Hi, I recently recieved an AVIC-D3 from a friend who wasn't using it anymore. I am just wondering if the cd-btb200 is the only bluetooth adapter you can use for bluetooth on the D3? Or if anyone has found a way to use a different adapter with it? I've heard that the connectivity of the cd-btb200 is not tremendously great and it is also discontinued. Is there something better to use? Thanks.
