  1. CD stops when iPhone on camera

Ok so I just finished installing an AVIC6400NEX head unit. Configured Apple CarPlay and all the bells and whistles. So to my surprise when trying to take a picture with my phone of the install, I put my phone in camera mode and the music (from the CD) stopped. Hit the home button and that was it, all functions were off. I could not select the CD as input with the camera of my phone on. Got out of the camera mode and bang, the music and all functions are back. Anyone knows what this is all about ? thanks !
  2. So everything was working great yesterday and the NEX 4000 has been installed since they came out (so a while), but this morning clicking the volume increase button just displayed the volume but wouldn't let me increase it. The lower volume button had the same effect. The mute button did nothing. The other physical buttons all worked. I clicked on the EQ and found it grayed out. I went to audio settings and other than changing the mute behavior all other audio settings appeared to be disabled. What happened? My setup is the NEX4000 in a Miata, with the steering wheel controls (Metra ASWC-1). I have yet to try and reset the radio. I figured I'd ask the community first and try an avoid reconfiguring the radio. Like I said it was all working yesterday and for years. Any ideas?
  3. Just had an 8100NEX installed. I love it so far. I attempted to play a .mkv video file from an SD card. The video looked great, even at 1080p, however the 8100NEX unit said that the file did not contain an audio file. When I play the same file on any of my computers (mac) via VLC, the file appears to be flawless and of course has sound. What type of video file should I be using to play from an SD card? What type of Audio file is needed so that the 8100NEX will recognize it at play properly? Thanks in advance!
  4. So I formatted my USB drive that had my videos I copied from Youtube, converted online, ran through Handbrake with the settings below (im pretty sure the setting were the same) and loaded on my 64gb USB drive. Viola, the video worked great and so did the audio! It took me forever to find the settings for Handbreak that ACTUALLY worked. Handbreak settings that had worked on my AVIC z130bt. The person I found these setting from was using them on 930bt. Output settings, Container = mp4 file (no checks) Picture tab = Width 624 x (keep aspect ratio) Anamorphic = none Modulus = 16 Cropping automatic Video Filters Tab = all off Video Tab = Video Codec MPEG-4 Framerate = same as source Avg Bitrate (kbps) = 800 I basically had to start over from scratch once I was ready to use that USB again for me car. I replicated the steps above, transferred it over to my USB, plugged it in and a message came up saying it wasn't recognized. With a bit of research I realized that it had to be formatted from exfat or NTSF to FAT32. Since I'm using windows and a 64gb stick cant be formatted to FAT32 I used an app online...formatted no problem. Load the file back over to my USB, plug into the car and now the video and audio are working but are lagging really bad. like a CD skipping back in the day. Does anyone out there know why this would be happening? I've tried a ton of different settings within Handbrake, converted the files and downloaded in 360p Standard Qualitly in order to keep the file size down etc...No luck Any help would be cool
  5. I updated my x830bt to version 4 and the unit is working fine - I can use my iphone 6 plugged into the unit with an apple 30 pin to lightning adapter, I can make BT phone calls. But, I can not stream BT audio. When I click on the BT Audio button it shows that I am disconnected, and if I press the connect button, the unit pops up a window that says I have to initiate the connect on the phone, but the phone is already paired with the pioneer unit? Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions? UPDATE: I deleted and repaired my phone, and when clicking on the pioneer unit on the connection for the iPhone, I selected audio and handsfree, and now both the phone and audio functions work as they should.
  6. My girlfriend has a 2007 Tahoe and just installed the x950BH and backup camera. She has an iPhone 5s and is running iOS7 and when streaming audio via bluetooth, the audio skips and cuts out. I tried my phone, iPhone 4 running iOS7 and it does the same thing. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix?
  7. I have my 930BT bi-passed and a couple weeks ago I started having some audio issues. I cannot hear my phone or navigation. I went into setting and even cranked it all the way up with no help. The weird thing is that if i use Bluetooth audio it plays fine from my phone and i have no problems. But the actual conversation i cannot hear anything. Or When the navigation used to override what ever i was using for music and give me directions, now it just goes silent like its gong to give me directions but no sound. So If i have the volumes set correctly what else could be the problem. As this did all work they way it was supposed to a few weeks ago and I didn't change any settings when it stopped working?
  8. I recieved my first call today on my z130bt and my music only turned down. I would like it to mute while on the phone. I have been looking over the manule and havn't found how to do this or even if it is possible. Can anyone tell me if I can and if so how I can make the music mute when I get a phone call. Thank you.
  9. 3.5mm vs RCA input

3.5mm vs RCA input Does anybody have a prefernce on this? I just bought a car that already has this pre-installed. I just want to use my iphone to play music and read many reviews that the CB-IB100II Ipod Adaptor is clunky at best. I don't mind using the aux input but want to get some feedback. Also, for the life of me I can't seem to find a pic of the rear of this unit to ensure I purchase the proper part that connects if buying the 3.5mm. Is this the best option? http://www.bonanza.c...OD-a15/24358238 Thanks in advance.
