KyleC posted a topic in Hacks/ModsHello, I am new here. I just downloaded the 2012 Maps update torrent and I am having issues matching up with your instructions on the site. I'm trying to follow this thread... http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/ but the only things I come up with that were downloaded are... "2012 Upgrade.rar" "CARDINFO.cif" "readme.txt" And a blue folder called "RenewallFLib-AUTO-R..CER v1.1" Inside that folder is "readme.txt" "revewallflib.dll" "scriptexec.ini" "TESTMODE.KEY" I am missing the "Firmware" folder. Please help me, I am new here and I would like to complete this update. Thanks.
I started this on a Ford Diesel site yesterday and figured I'd post here today.. so here's yesterday's post For Christmas, I'm getting a Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT Nav Unit and Boyo VTL-422C backup camera. I was able to intercept the delivery before my wife and sneak out the Scosche FD16b harness adapter and the harness from the AVIC befire it found its way wrapped and under the tree. Last night I connected the 2 harnesses together.. soldered and shrink wrapped. Today, I Pulled out the old CD-6 Radio with PIE adapter for RCA inputs on the CD Changer circuit (I had it first for an XM Radio and more recently my iPhone). Then tapped into the gray/black wire in the passenger side Kick panel for the VSS connection (the taped off wire is where I disabled the dimmer on the Lie-O-Meter years ago). Next I needed to tap into the Reverse Lights.. it should be a Black./Pink wire that's hot only when shifted to reverse, but I found other Black/Pink wires under the dash that were hot when both in and not in reverse. I finally found this thread and ran the wire under the brake master cylinder. http://www.thediesel...4250-post9.html Then I put all the interior panels back in place and now I wait... Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow to finish up.
Okay so i am Brand new to this forum, and it has been incredibly helpful so far. But finally i am stumped. I got my reverse camera in the other day and installed it exactly how i am suppose to. Oh by the way, i have an AVIC-Z130BT The hot wire is run to a constant 12V The ground wire is Grounded properly The video cable is run to the rearview camera plug (the brown one) And then there is a wire that turns to a hot 12V when the truck is in reverse, well this wire is run to the back of the unit to the reverse gear signal input. Butttt it won't work? I have checked EVERYTHING with a meter and it reads perfect, and the unit settings are correct too. The camera is turned on and i have tried both ground and battery settings. I don't get why it won't work. now i can plug the camera video cable into the camera input and select it from the scroll menu and it works fine, but i want it to work where i can shift in reverse and it come on automatically. Please tell me what is wrong and how i can fix it. Thank you so much. Tyler
