  1. Hello dear forum, I was looking at the firmware specs for the F950BT and it seems that it supports apple carplay while the f950bt installed on my car sadly does not :(. I was wondering if the firmware would be cross compatible, or if someone has perhaps hacked the f950bt to support carplay or in some other way work with newer iPhones (I use an iPhone 7 plus). It's been a real struggle getting the thing to work with my phone, it supports bluetooth, but that's about it. Seems like a waste of a nice bit of kit. PS: Another issue I have with it is that my map is day coloured at night and vice versa, while the only settings associated with this are day and automatic (automatic causes the issue, day is just that, day) Thank you very much in advance.
  2. Newbie needs help with modding F320BT

Hello, need some help with the installation of IGO8 EDIT: I came to a point where I got IGO8 started via the app menu. But it won't find any gps signal and it closes the app when the car restarts. Any help for these problems? To clear things up. (F320bt V.: 1.0000) The steps I did: 1. Changed the applib.dll to the modded one via testmode 2. I have put that app package on the sd card. 3. Downloaded IGO8 + maps and copied it on the sd card. 4. Made sure that the IGOlauncher uses the right path of the IGO8.exe (opened the .mscr data with notepad++ and edited the first shown path)
  3. Introduction Following The AVIC Development Mod, we would like to introduce a new Debug menu that was discovered by examining the Av.apk. This mode seems to be one of the developer menus that Pioneer themselves used to develop the software. It seems to be compatible with all decks that The AVIC Development Mod is compatible with. This menu includes but is not limited to: USB OTG Switching (We have yet to see this truly working) Boot Mode Changes (No need for bsp flashing) Stock Android Developer Settings Menu Sensor Debugging Logcat Log Levels Component Logging Creating the WARP Snapshot Creating the UserData Snapshot Saving off the device database Saving off logs Displaying CPU usage imanformation How To: Select Off in the Source Settings There are 3 invisible buttons on this screen. See the image below for a picture of the screen, with the Layout Guides Enabled. There are 3 boxes in the center screen those are the invisible buttons, for reference we will designate them buttons 1-3 left to right. Enter the following sequence on the buttons: Button 3, Button 1, Button 3, Button 1, LONG press Button 2. The first 4 presses should be normal button presses, not long presses. When done correctly you will receive a password prompt. Enter DEVELOPDBG ON There are 2 other passwords but they have just a subset of the options that this one has. Click Ok. You will be taken back to the Off screen. Press and hold Button 2. You should now be in the development menu. Sequence How To: https://youtu.be/kK4mQTn6HSs Menu Options: http://youtu.be/F5cOwyQj1N8 FAQs What is this mode? A: It seems to be a developer mode that Pioneer uses at the factory. Why use this over Testmode or the BSP? A: This mode is safer to use as it is built into the device instead of having to flash your BSP, where something could go wrong. This is also easier to access as it does require specific files on your USB Key. However this does have limitations as it does not have all of the modes that Testmode has. What is Needed With the discovery of this mode, it is clear that there is a way to get ADB access with OTG and the developer settings found here. Especially since it seems this is the mode that Pioneer has used to aid in the development of the NEX. Sadly every combination of cables and modes we have tried as not worked as of yet. If you find a combination that gets you ADB or have an idea. Please drop it in the thread.
  4. I am Japanese. I have the navigation "MRZ series" of Japan. The model whom I have is "AVIC-MRZ99 " It looks like " Z110BT" of an overseas version and "Z120BT". However, even if TESTMODE.KEY is installed, it is not possible to use it. 5. I went out to get into my car this morning and noticed that my AVIC-X910BT will not boot up. It will turn on but gets stuck at the splash screen (original Pioneer logo screen). I put a CD in and it played music but the screen was still stuck. I also pushed the reset button in the upper left-hand corner which turned the screen on and off but this did nothing. The unit was in my 2003 Acura CL Type-S when I bought it in 2012 and was installed professionally (I was given the receipt for the install but unfortunately I no longer have it). It had the firmware version 3.020100 on it which, according to Pioneer's website, is the most recent official update. I even downloaded the firmware to an SD card and tried to update it but it would not do anything. I read that this is because it will not recognize firmware on and SD card if it has already been installed but I have no idea if this is correct. It did not have any mods on it or anything. I spoke with Pioneer support but of course they are telling me I have to send it in so they can service it and make money off me. He also mentioned it could be a blown fuse on either the vehicle or the unit itself but I have not checked this yet. I had already started typing this post before I spoke with him. I don't remember his exact wording on this question but he also asked if there was anything could have caused some sort of an electrical power surge (alternator problems, faulty cigarette lighter, etc.) but I can't think of anything that would've done this between last night when it was working fine and this morning. I will be checking these as soon as I am done here. I am willing to do anything to get this fixed as soon as possible but I don't want to spend any money on it. I have read about testmode but am not sure how this works and which is the newest/best version that will work with my unit. I am in desperate need of a solution as I am driving to a wedding 4 hours away on Sunday and that will be miserable if I have I can't play music from my phone (via the 3.5mm aux port) like I normally do. I am brand new to this site so I am not sure if this topic has been covered but I did do some searching and could not find many people that experienced the same issue as me, let alone a solution to my problem. I also read about hacks/mods but I want to make sure I have the correct version before I try it so that I don't make things worse Please be as detailed as possible with instructions as I am new to all of this. I would love to have a link to where I should download firmware/software from and which versions I should choose etc. Something I thought of but could not find an answer to was whether or not it is it possible to download an older version of the firmware so it will be recognized by the unit and then I could update it later. Would this help? As a side note, I am using a MacBook Pro so I am not able to open/edit Windows files so I would like to be able to do this from my computer. I do have access to a PC if need be so that is the least of my concerns. I am willing to do anything at this point. Somebody PLEASE help me!
  6. Hi guys, Does anyone know how to get Carplay working for AVICF60BT (India)? There is no firmware update available on Pioneer's official website. AVICF60DAB which has identical hardware already has Carplay available, but it's not available for AVICF60BT. Any help is appreciated.
  7. Update/Upgrade F320BT

Hi everyone, I have a european (dutch) F320BT and when I look in the software info it says version 1.0. I've seen lots of posts now but none is clear about the following: 1) Can I update to version 2 or version 3? If so, how (without buying products or services from Pioneer) 2) I see a lot of mods says version 3 is needed, are there mods available for version 1 that I have? 3) If I were to buy the 2012 map update, does this automatically upgrade the software version? (I found one on ebay) 4) Can I update the maps manually from the internet somewhere? Which files do I need and where do they go So that's quite a list I'm a noob doing stuff to the f320bt, but work with computers so if I just could get directions.... Thanks!
  8. X710BT mods

Hi everyone, The more I've read here the more confused I've gotten. I have an X710BT and the only thing I want to do is use the software bypass to get rid of the parking brake restriction. In other words, I want to be able and want passengers to be able to type an address or change the light color while driving. I guess the restriction's there for "safety," but you can scroll through music and audio settings to your heart's content yet can't even turn the screen completely off if you're driving. At any rate, I have the 3.020100 firmware. I have an 8gb SD card the system recognizes. I want the parking brake bypass. I do not need anything else. However, as I said, the more I read the more confused I get. Posts link to each other and I'm going around in circles trying to find what I want. Apparently the X710BT uses the F series software, so I go there. I found the 2.0 testmode stuff, but that didn't work - nothing whatsoever happened when I put the SD card with testmode into my system. I then find out I need testmode 3.0. I can't find it; links are broken. What I do find are basically just instructions to upgrade from 2 to 3, and more recent posts there are talking about 4 now. I don't need that. Then I come across another post saying the X710 actually uses the X900 software. Some posts say you put the SD card with testmode in and it automatically copies data.zip to it, while others have a whole list of steps you need. Other posts have more than 50 pages starting from 4 years ago. Is there anyone who has the testmode file for firmware 3.020100 on an X710BT? Does anyone have clear instructions on how to do what I'm asking? I have some computer programming experience so I'm not a *complete* noob; I just need a valid link to a valid file and instructions that pertain to my unit. If anyone is able to help and it succeeds, I will be sure to write my own post with detailed instructions so confused posts like mine won't keep popping up. Thanks!
  9. Z140BH Touchscreen USB HID??

I would like to connect a small form factor PC to the aux A/V input on my unit. As far as video and audio this shouldn't be a problem at all. My question is more about the touch capability itself. Would it be possible to somehow forward the touch screen output to USB so that it could be used as a HID device instead of a mouse or other pointing device?
