  1. Hi Everyone I have recently purchased the F88DAB and installed into my Alfa 159 sportwaggon. This is a great unit. I decided to purchase an aftermarket reverse camera which I then installed into the car. Having tested the camera using a 12v battery and an AV monitor I knew it worked before installing and therefore expected it to just plug and play when installing it into the HU reverse camera Connector. However this is not the case. I put the car into reverse and the HU changes to the reverse screen but just stays black and no image appears. I have tested this with the HU out and the cable running into the AV monitor and get a picture straight away. The camera definatly works with the head unit because when I go to source AV and set it to camera the reverse camera image appears. The camera is powered the entire time as the power feed is coming from a constant source. I have tried a number of different settings including setting the second camera input as the reverse camera and that still doesn't appear. I just can't figure out why I can see the image in one option but does not appear when the car is put into reverse especially when the camera is plugged into the reverse camera input. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks D
  2. Avic n-5

Hello, Please help. I do not see any solid information on how the Avic N5 By-pass should work. I moved yellow/black mute wire to open slot in-between both black wires on RCA harness and ground the parking brake wire to this wire. I also added a new good ground. When I go into system settings it shows my parking brake is on at all times. But I'm not able to use the search for address feature and many others. I was able to the first day I did the by-pass because I was able to put in my home address and work, but now if I want to go anywhere else I can not. I'm thinking about hooking up a switch, to manual turn parking brake on/off. Any suggestions or input from some-one with Avic N-5 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Mike
  3. Hello, I have I F700bt that has been installed in my wife's car for several years and it has been working great. She just made the jump from an iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy S2 (android phone). The iPhone worked great through the pioneer cable, gave control through the unit, sounded decent, charged the phone, etc. With the Android phone, the only way I can get it to play music through the unit is via the front AUX in, setting "Input 2" to Video; which gets a black screen since I am using a basic 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable out of the headphone jack on the phone. I have tried using a USB to Micro USB cable to connect the phone to the unit. The USB is never recognized, I tried both in mass storage mode as well as debug mode. Majority of files are .m4a copied from itunes into the "music" folder. I also tried a couple .mp3's in the root folder with the same result. I know there has to be a way to get headunit control of the music played on the android phone, but I can't seem to figure it out. HELP!!! Thanks in advance for any help available!
