Hello, everyone. I have an Avic f900bt and it's been 3 years since I have had a properly working unit. I have tried so many different techniques throughout the years including going into test mode and downloading the hybrid 4.01 files, but I kept receiving a errors. I have also tried deleting the gps.para files and doing a reboot, but it still did not work. I have had this problem for 3 years and I just cant take it anymore! I know some other users have had this issue before, but most of the files on here were either old and/or deleted. Also, when the unit reboots, the "system startup in progress" appears and does not go away until it reloops, so I can't get into the settings. The system startup notification was never there until after I tried doing the hybrid 4.01 files. I'm not sure how to fix this and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
updated to v4, now system startup in progress, please wait box is stuck on screen but radio still works.
Snickers69ss posted a topic in Problems/TroubleshootingI've got an f9bt running on v3, I tried updating to v4 (hybrid) but kept getting map install errors while the files were transferring to the radio. So I cancelled the transfer. The radio came back on fine except now the system startup in progress, please wait box is not going away. I can click on things and they seem to work fine, just the system startup box is always on the menu screen. Also when I click on maps just a pioneer logo comes up, no maps anymore. I'm new to the AVIC game so any help would be much appreciated. Please&Thanks!
ctsubyrs posted a topic in Problems/TroubleshootingHey everyone, so I've searched around the forums and read a bunch of posts before succumbing to writing one myself. I have a Pioneer F90bt that I've had for about 2 years. I have no mods or hacks to it, and about 2 months ago it randomly started rebooting itself constantly over 20 mph. I tried the update to 2.008, it updated successfully but it didn't help the rebooting issue. I downloaded the testmode files and the backup files onto 2 separate SD cards I inserted the sd card with the testmode files and it wouldn't go into testmode. I reformatted the sd card for both ms dos (FAT) and mac os extended, and neither worked. I'm using a MAC, not a PC, not sure if this also plays a factor. I haven't checked the grounding or wires yet because I don't want to mess things up further, unless someone can guide me through it. Any help of where to go from here would be appreciated, thanks.
