  1. Just had a z150 installed in my silverado and am having a few issues with it. my installer used the CD-IU201N cable for the ipod/iphone adapter. I have an iphone 5 so i just put a 30-pin to lightning cable adapter at the end of it in order to use it. This setup worked fine with my z140, but when i plug my iphone into the cable with the z150 the unit doesn't even recognize that anything is attached. my phone begins to charge, but nothing pops up on the screen. If there is a way to make this work I would love to not need to go spend $100 bucks on new cables to make the iphone 5 work. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  2. 2 unrelated issues, but figured I'd post them in the same thread. I've had the Z150 for a few months now, and for the most part it's been great. A big problem I've been having, however, is the unit (since day 1) has refused to store ANY destination history. The history button is simply grayed out. That said, I was able to save my Home location, and the unit retains settings during power off/power on cycling, so it's not a memory problem, I guess. Is this happening to anyone else? Is it possible I just have a setting set wrong? The other problem I've been having is with my iPod. I'm weird, and still use the iPod Classic (albeit the latest generation of said iPod Classic). Once in a blue moon, the iPod will just hard-freeze, meaning I have to disconnect it and force-restart it. While it's frozen I can still hear the last bit of audio it was able to process before self-destructing coming out of the speakers, kinda annoying. This has never happened just using the iPod as a standalone device, or when plugged into my B&O Zeppelin sound-dock at home. Does this unit have shady iPod functionality? Anyway, other than that, the thing's been great. Just really hoping I can get these couple issues solved. PS: I should note that my unit IS bypassed, correctly.
  3. No FM frequencies?!?

Something random happened yesterday to my Pioneer AVIC-Z150BH, and I'm stumped... I stopped at a gas station to fill up, and upon turning my car back on I received static for the FM channel I was listening to. I checked my other FM presets and they were all static as well. I checked AM and got all of them clear as day (it was even able to get HD signals), as well as Sirius/XM. Ran out and bought another Antenna adapter, but still had the same problem. Check the GMOS-LAN-03 adapter, and the wiring harnesses to make sure no wires came loose (which would be hard to do since I soldered everything from the GMOS to the aftermarket HU harness). I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this, or if anyone would have any tips. Contacted Pioneer and they said "Reset to factory defaults, and if that doesn't work the radio may need to be serviced". Although that's great, I'd hate to take everything out of my HHR (if anyone has one, you know space is very limited behind the stereo and you have to be creative with putting everything back there). Only good thing about installing this HU is that I can take apart the waterfall/center of my HHR real quick since I've done it so much.
  4. I'm a new-bie, but looking to see if anyone has experience with installing the new AVIC Z150 in a Tacoma Pickup. There are postings here about bypassing the interlock for NAV/DVD. Anyone have experience with maintaining steering wheel controls on the Toyota. Axxess with a wiring harnass? How about fit in double DIN slot? Anyone found a way to use the built-in microphone for telephone rather than the external microphone? How about routing the GPS antenna to the dash? Thanks!
