Spezza_Fan
I just bought a used CD-BTB200 Bluetooth adapter off ebay for dirt cheap but it doesn't have a mic. Can someone tell me if any other types of mic work or do I have to get one directly from Pioneer to fit the BTB200?
HiFiSi
I just checked pioneer's website, and the replacement parts outlet doesn't even list just the microphone as a product they sell. So chances are they don't sell the microphone by itself. But the good thing is it looks to me like the microphone plugs in through a standard microphone mini-jack. So pretty much any mic with a mini-jack (headphone type) plug should work. You could probably stop by a local Radio Shack and pick up something that will work.
Spezza_Fan
I'm going to install it tonight and if I have time, I will stop by The Source and see whether or not they have any mini-jack mics and if so, if it'll work with the unit. I will let you know.
Guest astrobill
Guys: Pioneer DOES sell just the microphone that goes with the AVIC-D3. My idiot installer cut the wire on the one that came with it, and I had to order a new one from them. Wasn't super cheap, but was worth having a new one. Works great. ((By the way, he originally tried splicing into the factory mic that came with my 2008 Audi A4...worked like shit. One should NEVER cut microphone wires...always use factory cable, jack, etc., from end-to-end)) - Astrobill
HiFiSi
Yeah, I learned that from another topic. Their website doesn't list all the replacement parts that they sell. You have to actually call them to order the parts that they don't list on their site.
