VSS signal for new 2008 Ram Diesel please

What is the easiest place to get the signal? Is there one at the wiper motor as I have heard for the Fords?

nope the only useable vss would be to get an interface that reads the information from the can data system in the truck and converts it to something that an avic can understand.

You sure a signal coming directly from a sensor, like the one in the trans, or an ABS signal, like that from the differential, cannot be used?

Nope have tried it. The # of pulses is WAY too high for the avic to understand. System says improper vss signal and will not start initializing until the connection is removed.

that's what Crutchfield told me, but i never hooked mine up.

 

it's not that useful, mine functions fine without it.
