hockeyjock Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 Ok so i have done a bunch of reading and from what i understand the only way to get the new classics to work is to use 1.02 software but you still have to unplug your ipod select the video and plug it back in. Now from what I understand the reason for this is apple has installed a chip in all of their cable now so you cant use the video out function on third party devices. Now what i am wondering is what if you attached the ipod cable from the D3 to the universal doc(which has the chip) and then attached your ipod to the doc.
