stx2006
I'm about to trade my 06 f-150 off for a 08 and I was wondering if the 08 has the same radio harness as the 06?
cntrylvr79
Yep everything is the same, though vss might not be in the radio harness on the 08, dont remember for sure.

My 06 has seals on all the holes or there's to many cables going out a hole to get anymore through it.
cntrylvr79
If I remember the firewall right, to the left of the gas pedal there's a cable that goes through the firewall. the grommet is ginormous. Make a slit and you're thrugh. I'll try and snap a pic on the next one that comes through
stx2006
thanks! Also since it sounds like you install these things, what mount are you using? I'm using the one Cfeild sent me but it doesn't work to well though.
cntrylvr79
95-5812. Depending on how old the kit is, it might not come with the spacers you need to get the kit just right. If it doesn't have those spacers, then a trip to the hardware store for some 1/4" spacers will work.
stx2006
http://www.audiooutfitter.com/95-5812/m ... 17821.html ?? Kinda looks like the one Cfeild sent me. Just has the spacers...

stx2006
sweet thanks! I think I'm going to try the 1/4" spacers since I have the other parts.. I'm also guess the spacers go behind the radio mounts that hold it to the dash? If so, I tried this but my screws wasn't long enough, ha.
cntrylvr79
Yeah, you'll also need longer screws.
