bmwnla
has anyone figured out how to display a boost gauge on their avics?
HiFiSi
Won't work. It only shows the gauges it was programmed with, not to mention it has no input for that kind of information.
Jim Fouch
I'm currently working on a system that will allow you to have a screen (using the AV1 input) to display any data from your OBD system. I may be able to also display other data also. Let me know if your interested. Jim
inferno999
I'm currently working on a system that will allow you to have a screen (using the AV1 input) to display any data from your OBD system. I may be able to also display other data also. Been wishing for that a while now. I've got a ScanGuage OBDII scanner setup to monitor MPG, EME (estimated miles to empty), Engine Load and various trip computations. Having it stuck on the dash, however, is less than attractive. You'd need some sort of interface (to at least reset the fuel to full, and ideally to make calibration adjustments), how do you plan on setting that up?
Jim Fouch
I've done some interfacing work on a few different types of bikes. Below are a few links that show some of the work I've done. Right now I'm working on interfacing w/ my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer SS to bring in all the data into the AVIC. I'm also going to try to hack into the Touch Sensor so the touch screen can be used to interface w/ my own menus/screens. http://www.livevideo.com/video/AE6FB4F6991C418F80CD27CF8EEA4034/ultimate-motorcycle-gadget-ho.aspx http://www.livevideo.com/video/02245ED97EEE46EA8272BC2371B9F5C9/deals-gap.aspx
FourDoor
The idea seams cool. If you can get something similar to the ScanGuage II that has a secondary monitor output to RCA, it would be great.
Sbasinger
HKS CAMP 2? http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com/ca ... hp?ID=6582
Jim Fouch
The CAMP 2 looks pretty cool. It doesn't say how the display is done. Is it a video signal? Looks like an actual LCD screen.

It's a control module that hooks into a video input. Those are just examples of the menus it displays.
krinkov
I would be very interested in something like this. If anyone had tried this CAMP 2 or whatever, I'd love to hear about it. Kris
