k1jps
Can you change/add wav files the same way as the background files?
HiFiSi
Probably a big ol' NO. What are you referring to? The beep sound when you hit a button? That's the only sound there is unless you count the navigation voice. And even if somehow you could, it wouldn't be like adding a custom background. You would have to do some nav disk ripping/editing/burning to achieve it, and that's even if those sound files are on the nav disk and not hard wired into the unit. k1jps
I have seen them in the sound folder. they're for when you arrive someplace like home. They have dog barking.wav, and some other one's. Thanks
HiFiSi
Oh those... I think you can select from a default list of sounds for those. But to put your own in, you would have to rip the DVD image to your computer, replace the sound files in that folder, and burn the new image to a DL DVD-R. I'm not 100% sure but you might have to use the same file names as the default sounds for it to work as it might not recognize other file names. It's not as easy as custom backgrounds, because those were made to be changeable, the sounds weren't.

bossgs4
just tried this .... replacing the .wav file with an identically named file DOES NOT WORK.
cafagna
putting additional files with new names also does not work.
