numberone
I don't believe the TV tuner is compatible with the D3. I think you have to hook it up to the DVD player through the ibus. But I still think you wont be able to control it through the D3. There is a thread that that was discussing this like a couple of days ago.
blackbox
i do have the the tv tuner connected to the dvd through the ip-bus. guess its no good. thanks for the replynumberone! guess i gotta ebay it now.
numberone
From what i remember I think it will work but you will have to use the remote for the tuner which means you will not be able to control it on the D3.
installermarc
Give it 12 months, and that tuner will be obsolete and non-working, as all analog TV signals will be turned off forever. I think Pioneer was aware of this happening, and has stopped production of the tuner, and removed the protocalls from the the IP bus control chips. Yes, you can use the unit as a stand alone peice, using the remote eye input for control, and connect it to the av2 input (on the back of the unit). Â Just my .02. 1G
anyone using a converter box for this yet? it's just days away from being a paper weight
GnatGoSplat
There's no point to use a converter box with this. You can connect a converter box directly to the HU's A/V inputs. Functionality would be identical, in that you'd need to use the converter box's remote to control it.
1G
ok so i guess the real question is does anyone know of a DTV option that works while the car is moving?
