phantomzer0
It's a crazy thing, and I've narrowed the problem down but I can't figure out how to fix it. Basically, when the ANT control is set to 'Power' everything works great except for the subwoofer. I cannot turn it on or off or control the level. The subwoofer is booming at a 'basic' level and can't be controlled. Now, when I set the ANT controller to 'Tuner' no audio comes through but I can clearly control the subwoofer and turn it on and off. It may or may not matter but when I press any buttons the tone plays with a ton of static in the background. Any ideas?
whtcrxghst
Using an amp? Use the remote turn on wire, not the power antenna wire.
phantomzer0
I have the amp's remote wire hooked into the remote power (dark blue) wire on the HU and the power ant. wire to the light blue on the HU. Are you suggesting that I hook the amp remote wire up to the HU's power ant. wire?
whtcrxghst
Blue with a white stripe should go to the amps remote turn on. The solid blue should go to antenna
phantomzer0
Right, I have both of those wires correctly wired up. If I unplug the wire for the power antenna the radio will not put out any sounds at all. I know it is not the HU as my brother has one in his car and it is working properly. I should note his is hooked into a 97 Camaro SS and this one is going into an 06 G6. I just can't figure out why the remote power wire would have so much bearing on why the HU would output audio... let alone control the subwoofer. GRR I don't even have a damn power antenna in the car...
Slody4Futbol
make sure the rca's are plugged into the SW OUT and not Front or Rear on the radio
phantomzer0
Double and Triple Checked.... *sigh* Is it normal to set the radio to 'Power'? I just can't figure out why the HU would only allow you to control the subwoofer on the 'Tuner" setting. Could it be something with the vehicle?
phantomzer0
Can anyone figure out why the radio would be preventing audio because of a power antenna wire? If it's not hooked up no audio and if it is hooked up no sub control... I know someone can help me!
