D3 Cannot control Subwoofer in Tuner mode....

Recommended Posts

It's a crazy thing, and I've narrowed the problem down but I can't figure out how to fix it. Basically, when the ANT control is set to 'Power' everything works great except for the subwoofer. I cannot turn it on or off or control the level. The subwoofer is booming at a 'basic' level and can't be controlled. Now, when I set the ANT controller to 'Tuner' no audio comes through but I can clearly control the subwoofer and turn it on and off.

It may or may not matter but when I press any buttons the tone plays with a ton of static in the background. Any ideas?

Right, I have both of those wires correctly wired up. If I unplug the wire for the power antenna the radio will not put out any sounds at all. I know it is not the HU as my brother has one in his car and it is working properly. I should note his is hooked into a 97 Camaro SS and this one is going into an 06 G6.

I just can't figure out why the remote power wire would have so much bearing on why the HU would output audio... let alone control the subwoofer. GRR

I don't even have a damn power antenna in the car...
