[06 Envoy]

i wonder if i have the wrong disc

 

i'm running the 70mtp discs it routes fine and the screen comes up to tell me when to turn but no voice could it be the wrong discs and if so where can i get the proper ones?

I think you have the correct disc set. Your problem may be a settings issue or an install problem. Here's how to know.

 

Hit the Menu button on the left of the unit.

 

Make sure you are on the Navi screen and press SETTINGS.

 

Press VOLUME.

 

You should see voice volume (several levels available) and beep volume (sadly, only 4 levels.)

 

Adjust the volume levels to your likeing for each.

 

If the volume levels look good there, you may have an install issue. Swap the front and rear outputs from the radio and see if it corrects the problem.

yeah, the voice comes from the front left channel. i have seen some bad installs where they botched the speaker wiring and caused this same problem

tried all that it still doesn't work ughhh i even reset the unit my phone bt unit will mute the radio on incoming calls but nav doesn't even mute

Does your car use a PAC adaptor or something that instructs you to only hook up the rear channels?

i used a scosche dcgm09 interface i didn't care about onstar

 

 

i also used the 4 channel bose factory amp
